Trump’s comments about “women” were NOT about women in general, they were about specific women who went out of their way to demean him - women like Rosie O’Donnell, who’s not exactly known for her decorum and open-mindedness. It was Megyn Kelly who took his comments about women like Rosie and applied them to all women in general. I suppose that, to you, any offensive comment about a woman applies to all women in general, whereas any “offensive” (if it’s true, it ain’t offensive) comment you’ve ever made about a man applies only to that one man?

I remember Barry Goldwater too. In fact, I knew him fairly well and he often expressed himself very... plainly. I heard him use very salty language himself, especially when speaking about people like LBJ, Rockefeller and Nixon.
