If Cruz's supporters were willing to let Trump supporters tell them what reasons they were allowed to consider, they wouldn't be Cruz supporters.

Looks like the "thanks for President Hillary" will belong to you guys, not us.

Donald J. Trump looks pretty good for 69.

Living in luxury most of his life and encountering some of the most beautiful women in the world tends to preserve the body it seems.

Melania will represent this country with a level of class not seen in decades. On the level of Jackie Kennedy methinks.

"Deny?" Do you see them as rightfully his no matter how the remaining state primaries play out?

How far ahead does Trump have to be for you to admit the obvious?

It will be foolish at this point for Cruz to think he can become POTUS by VOIDING THE WILL of the Republican voters.

Voters in the remaining 21 states have yet to be heard. Trump isn't "entitled" to jack sh*t yet.

I hope Cruz stays in to the end, even if he can’t get an outright win. The detestable Donald Trump will take the party down to an historic defeat in November. If we can, we ought to do everything in our power to avoid that, especially in a case like this where there isn’t even any purposeful statement being made by the nominee.

Losing with a guy whose only claim to legitimacy is his toxic concoction of ego and mouth is the very worst kind of loss and could turn the USA into a one-party socialist hell on Earth.

Thanks a lot, Trumpbots!

It isn’t, and the premise was laughable.

Cruz needs to do the right thing, drop out with grace.

Well then you are with Karl Rove and the Establishment.

I guess it safe to say you will be voting for Hillary?

If Trump is the nominee and loses to Hillary you'll blame it on Cruz's supporters anyway.

How far ahead does Trump have to be for you to admit the obvious?

How many times does it take for you to be told Trump doesn't yet own the nomination? That's why we have the electoral process. Once he passes 1,237, it's over. But he's not at 1,237 yet.

Yep. And this is the first election that could go to the end so we should let it. Or change it to where we vote in thirds.

Nobody KNOWS who will win the general election: that’s why we hold them.

But Cruz has a much better chance of defeating the Democrat than Trump does.

Trump is a near guaranteed loser.

They will still have their vote, but their will not be anyone left.

That’s your State’s fault for waiting so long, and not Trump winning in a land slide.

“On the other hand, why aren’t these threads posted demanding that the jackass junior, John Kasich, give up?”

GREAT POINT!! What do you think is in this for Kasich? Do you think he seriously believes he will benefit from a fight at the Convention?

SMH

I’d be pissed if I was in California and I didn’t get a choice in who the party nominee is.

Then blame the California Republican Party for scheduling their primary in June...EVERY TIME.

Believe me, I sympathize - I'm in Texas, and in '08 the race was decided even before I could vote for Fred Thompson. I also lived in NJ for most of my life - with the primary pretty much always on the same day as CA's (as it is this year). Add to that the fact that NJ has been a blue state since 1992, and hasn't had a Republican Senator (other than as a temporary fill-in for someone who died) in decades. It sucks to not be represented, to have no voice - but sometimes reality sucks...deal with it.

This is simply not Ted Cruz' year - but he's young and, if he doesn't blow it by hurting the Party, he'll be around for a long time and do some great things (maybe even be President later).

Moreover, it will let Trump go after Hillary.

What's stopping him now? (and please... don't insult yourself and the rest of us by saying "Cruz."

You, of course, are almost entirely incorrect. Potential delegates almost always run for the job in an election of some sort, and campaigns have ample opportunity to vet them.

Oh please! No one with half a brain believes every nebish on the Republican side beats Hillary EXCEPT Trump. He'll beat her with Reagan/Carter numbers.
