Would you have preferred Obama, then?

Romney had no ideology or issue he cared about other than upholding some establishment way or life. That came off to the people. Listen, I don’t like and never have liked Obama but Obama believes his own bullshit. That made Romney look as stiff as his hair.

Her analysis is correct, but let’s not forget that she was one of the morons demanding we vote for Romney in 2012 because he was “electable”.

I'm sure we've ALL had our moronic moments!

...the presidential campaign of Mormon Church founder Joseph Smith in 1844:

“Challenging Democrat James Polk and Whig Henry Clay, Smith prophesied that if the U.S. Congress did not accede to his demands that ‘they shall be broken up as a government and God shall damn them.’

Smith viewed capturing the presidency as part of the mission of the church.

In other words, what the party wants is the diametric opposite of what the donor and consultant class wants.

The Free Republic Free Traitor™ cabal would do well by digesting this fact.

I do believe Mitt made some personal changes. Unfortunately, for a politician, they need a track record of upholding those changes. That's what Mitt didn't have.

I mean being in the liberal north east he wasn't accountable for conservative ideals. I think that when he went national he had to make a choice. And I think he did chose to embrace more conservative ideals. He just didn't have the track record to prove it.

Mitt didn't have to side with Ted Cruz, but he did. He could have gone with Trump or Rubio obviously. But he chose the most conservative candidate to back.

I believe Mitt would have made a very good President. He just wasn't the best campaigner.

Beautiful. Americans though have no problem with “immigrants”. We just hate hate illegal aliens. And I wish to hell conservatives would stop falling into the Democrat trap by continuing to allow them to equate the two!

Actually Americans have a big problem with Legal immigrants as well as illegal aliens.

While illegals are somewhat more prone to criminality than their legal cousins, the more important factor in immigration is the source culture of the migrant, not he migrant's possession of some papers.

For example most Muslim immigrants are here legally. They came as family-reunification immigrants or via refugee programs. Their presence here and the concomitant growth of Islam in our homeland, however, is a disaster, giving us regular incidents of terrorism and growing intimidation and political pressure to give in to Muslim cultural takeover.

Similarly, the Mexican and Central American migrants filling our jails and failing schools, voting for democrats (when they become citizens) and demanding affirmative action preferences are also mostly here legally.

The notion that "illegal = bad; legal = good" is a vast oversimplification of our immigration problem.

I would take a thousand totally illegal, overstayed their visas, Irish immigrants any day over a hundred completely legal Pakistani immigrants.

Thus; a flip-flopper.

Then get out your red pen and cross out the 'illegal alien' mantra each time you find it printed and replace it with Border Invader.

That'll make a difference to at least one little starfish.

Does this not show that THEY, at least, have some values they are willing to FIGHT for?

We 'citizens' should do so; too!

Wait 'til after March; though; as my team is still in the playoffs.

Gov. John Kasich is as awful on immigration as Rubio, but he's so boring, no one can ever remember anything he says.

Too bad Ann Rubioed herself with that Milt Romley thing.
