Trump won 27 delegates in NC

Cruz won 24

This is a good example of how keeping it close can help Cruz regardless of finishing first.

Hopefully the exit of Rubio and someday Kasich will bring a day that should have come sooner: Trump vs. Cruz

Good plan.

How did the "keeping it close" stratergery work out in Ohio & Florida?

Does this theory apply to the 20 states Trump has won with Cruz usually in 2nd.

In IL & MO I thought Trump has twice as many counties.

Trump only won by about 4% of the vote in NC and he is only ahead by around .5% in MO. Long way to get all the necessary delegates and this race is not over yet

Still, rather be in Trump's position than Cruz's.

Look at the states upcoming...AZ, NJ, NY, CT, CA, PA, WV, MD, DE...

Slim pickings for Cruz going forward. Not a lot of evangelicals in those states. Maybe WV but that's Trump territory.

Good job Trump.......he won 99 (Florida), 9 (island), 27 (NC) so far from 3 elections today.......now we wait on Illinois and Missouri.

Thank God they are bashing Cruz’s speech tonight. Cruz had his worse night winning nothing. He still has only won 3 primaries and 6 caucus’. His momentum never happened. I actually think Chicago killed his nomination.

Trump was slaughtered in Illinois tonight......he showed his butt by supporting BLM and Obama for sure. That is the only possibility.

Also took down Rubio and Sanders.
Voters punished people for supporting the media lie.

This is not good for Cruz. People understand winning states, but don’t care too much about delegates.

If he doesn’t win any states, all the GOPe money goes to Kasich.

Cruz , Levin, Beck , and his Bushbot controllers need to slither away back under the rock from whence they came ...

The at large delegates havnt been assigned yet. They will all go to the vote leader statewide. So a lot more delegates will be going to Trump. Check the Green Papers. That’s how it works

True. I think if he won some southern states, Cruz may have a chance to say he is doing well, but he was totally blocked from the South. That is stunning. And he has won this obscure places that honestly would go to the Republican anyway. Cruz is just awful.

Yep. Trump has an advantage in a big field, due to the rules change after Romney.

My answer: Primarily to avoid tanking the economy.

Trump couldn’t seal the deal. He needed to win Ohio and failed. He’s a loser.

We’ll have to wait for the convention to find out who will be our nominee.

“He needed to win Ohio and failed. He’s a loser.”

What does that make Cruz, who also lost Ohio?

Stupid comment.

Not a shock from the increasingly bratty Cruz supporters.

So far tonight Trump has won 1.2 million more votes for Ted Cruz and Ted will be lucky to win even MO. But hey, losing is the new winning right? ;)
