So Ted Cruz just insulted a massive number of GOP Trump supporters. They'll remember that insult in the general election if Cruz wins the nomination.

I used to think Cruz was more conservative than Trump, just less electable. I would have been happy with either. Now I see Cruz as being just like JEB, or Rubio, only less liked even by his friends.

“Donald does well with voters who have relatively low information...”

Hmmm, now where have I heard the term “Low-Information Voter” before? Hmmm, let me see...?

It’s actually the exact opposite. We have the information AND the vision. Cruz people have neither one.

Mr. Chen from Chen's New China Restaurant:

You know, those customers who eat at Wang's Noodle Palace don't understand real
Chinese food. Their taste buds are not fully formed. They hardly go out to eat, so they
are ignorant of where the best Chinese food is. They are ignorant people.

Mr. Wang from Wang's Noodle Palace, 10am:

It's so nice to see you all this morning! We open at 11am for lunch, so please enjoy
some tea and spring roll appetizers that my staff will be handing out to this long, long
line of loyal customers!

Now that a Bush is onboard, Cruz is starting to sound like all the rest of them.

Only a small narrow group are drunk on the Cruz-koolaid.

That's like McCain calling Trump supporters 'crazies'. Ted stepped smack into it and will regret it before the debate tonight is over.

“So Ted Cruz just insulted a massive number of GOP Trump supporters.”

That’s the ticket Teddy, pi$$ us all off, so if by some remote chance ( and I do mean remote) you get the nomination, we offended Trump supporters will be voting for him 3rd Party.

I’ve had enough of Cruz’ arrogance and condescention to last a lifetime. Even then, it’s been way too much. He has all the charisma of a water moccasin.

Congratulations, Ted. You’ve just shown you’re up there in the hyper-genius, triple dome category along with that unparalleled vote winner JEBBIE BUSH! Jebbie did so well by saying he’d win the nomination by running against the GOP voters. Now you’ve just insulted he great mass of good, patriotic people who elected you and whose votes you MUST HAVE if you get the nomination and expect to win the election.

No, instead of showing how brilliant you are, you’ve shown that, at bottom, you’re just a stupid pig-headed elitist who’s instantly made himself unelectable by deeply, bitterly insulting the very people you most need and whose votes you could well have had. It’s as though you were campaigning for the black vote and used the “N” word in context, with all its degrading associations, to describe the very people you were asking to vote for you.

Up until 2 months ago, I thought Cruz was the GOP Messiah to America. Since he has been shown to be a lying, sleazy, cheating, scumbag, Baptist Hypocrite...... he can go eff himself.

El candidato Cruz es estupido, mucho estupido. Drudge has just picked this up. Adios, Cruz.

Nobody but a Harvard trained lawyer who's clerked for a SCOUS justice could make a giant stupid, super hubris blunder like this, and he did it while giving an interview to the Canadian Broadcasting Network. At least the Rube had the basic smarts to make gaffes like this in Spanish, not English, and not to do it while talking to a foreign network.

Senator Cruz sounding like all those Liberals who go to Harvard, somewhat elitist in making such a statement.

Just recall what the late Bill Buckley in essence said, he would rather to governed by random sample of 400 people from a Boston Phone Book than the Harvard oligarchy. He was specifically referring to Harvard faculty, but Cruz was taught by said faculty, while he might not share the views overwhelmingly Harvard liberal faculty, his statements reflect an arrogant elitist attitude that we more often see with the secular and progressive left towards middle America (i.e. Fly over country).

Just when I was warming up to Senator Cruz, if he is the Republican Nominee, this is the kind of stuff that if he is will cause lots of those Trump supporters to sit out the race. Not smart politics.

Hey Ted, I used to support you enthusiastically. I gave to your Senate campaign even though I live in another state; and, I guess I’ll still vote for you if you are the nominee.

That said, you have become just another “severe conservative” of late. How Romney-esque, your words... displaying your “true colors” as just another elitist enabler “front man;” plotting w/the Bush financiers. Sad and very disillusioning ...I thought better of you once.

So, let me get this straight, Trump can go out and say things like ‘How stupid are the people of Iowa?’ and ‘...we won with poorly educated! I love the poorly educated!’, and ‘I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose voters’ and yet he’s given a pass and cheers abound.

But Cruz points out “Donald does well with voters who have relatively low information, who are not that engaged and who are angry and they see him as an angry voice. Where we are beating him is when voters’ get more engaged and they get more informed.”

Did Ted call anyone stupid? No. Did Ted say Trumps voters are bad or dumb people? No. Cruz’ statement is correct. It’s obvious that people who support Trump are either not engaged in all the information that is out there, and/or they are disregarding all the information that is out there. There is a lot of stuff about Trump that should discourage logical, thinking people to reconsider wanting him as president. That’s just truth. Trump is a liberal, after all.

But of course Trump supporters are going to twist it, and get their panties in a wad. Which is ironic, when they claim Trump is this great, all knowing, all powerful hero that is going to magically fix everything and make everyone pay and yet if he were so winning and wonderful, than it should be smooth sailing, and never mind what people say or think about him, right? If he’s got it in the bag, as they keep claiming, who cares what others opinions of him are? Right? He’s got this.

So I have to ask, what do you call a Trump supporter who does research and vets the candidates?

A Cruz supporter.

Ted Cruz, you just burned yourself. I can NOT believe you said that. I have a post-graduate degree (which one is none of your business) with a 3.9 GPA, am accomplished at several different things and presently am an expert in my field, a super-fluent bilingual and I voted for Trump (reluctantly, due to his arrogance and self-aggrandizement). He actually talks about issues that should have been a priority YEARS ago. No one else does. Low information? Really?

Wow! That has to rank up there as one of the most stupidest remarks, worse that Romney’s “I will never get the vote of the 48%” or Obama’s “They hand on to their bibles and guns etc.”

So, he insults New Yorkers, now Trump supporters. I thought exit polls show Trump’s supporters include the smartest.

This is going to come home to roost tonight.
