Interesting read, if only that we get other, fuller information (which may play a big role in general elections and affect down-ticket candidates) and points of view and are not just stewing in the juices of Drudge and internet insta-polls and "red states" political bloggers and selective anecdotal stories of relatives, friends, neighbours and coworkers. Now, we can reflect on it, ignore it, dismiss the author[s], facts or opinions presented, or attack the messenger[s]... but at least we would less likely be the "low information voters" like some of our opponents...

During an interview on the FOX Business Network's Mornings with Maria, Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay lashed out against the media for protecting Donald Trump.

Over the years I've been in DeLay's corner supporting him against charges I thought were politically motivated bordering on criminality.

Now he comes out with this, and I have to say I am very sad to see it.

Tom is all in too. What a pitty.

Folks, at some point don't you think the GOPe is telling us who we need to vote for?

The powers that be are so over the top, it's very clear there is something they fear that they are not telling us, and I think it's North American Union related.

Right now we have the European Union open borders thing going on here with no intent on stopping it.

Trump is going to stop that.

This is what is driving them, and that being the case, I won't vote for anyone but Trump.

So now the enemy is just resorting to naked slander.

Well, as they say in law, when you don’t have the argument, and you don’t have the evidence, pound on the table.

Now we get to listen to how many people have a friend who knows an uncle who overheard a babysitter talking about how she heard that someone on Oprah say that Trump was mean.

LOL, pathetic.

I am so sick of the anti-Trump trolling of this site.

This is not Ted Cruz dot com.

Not buying it

The media has been hitting Trump since he announced in June

The problem for them is Trump is “Teflon” their attacks don’t work on him. Heck he usually flips it around on them and that angers them even more

Any other candidate would have been down and out by now, but not Trump. They threw everything they had at him, the KKK/racist, war on women/sexist, hates Muslims, Hitler, crook, mob connections, IRS, “eminent domain”, bad business deals, bankruptcy, stooge debates, secret tapes that don’t exist, moderators turned instigators, etc and he still wins primaries. Any other candidate would have been done and out by now. But not Trump, sometimes their attacks end up energizing his support even more.

Is the Media Protecting Donald Trump?,

Possibly. Trump is underperforming the polling repeatedly, and badly.

Iowa was a 4.7 point win for Trump just days before the vote... and he lost by 3.3 (8 pt drop at the actual vote)
OKL was a 11.4 point win for Trump just days before the vote... and he lost by 6.1 (17.5 pt drop)
SC was a 17.1 point win for Trump just days before the vote... and he won by "only" 9.9 (7.2 pt drop)
Alaska was a 4.1 point win for Trump just days before the vote... and he lost by 2.9 (7 pt drop)
KS was a 6.1 point win for Trump just days before the vote... and he lost by 24.9 (31 pt drop)
Texas was a 9.0 point win for Cruz just days before the vote... and Cruz won by 17.1 (8.1 pt drop)
VA was a 14.5 point win for Trump just days before the vote... and he won by 2.8 (11.7 pt drop)
TN was a 18.0 point win for Trump just days before the vote... and he won by "only" 14.2 (3.8 pt drop)
VT was a 15.0 point win for Trump just days before the vote... and he won by 2.3 (12.7 pt drop)

Caucus states and primaries, before and after candidates drop out, liberal and conservative states, all with one common theme... Trump isn't pulling as many actual votes as poll votes... and the polls have him behind Hillary head-to-head (most recently: Trump down 8 to Hillary, 52-44, Cruz up 1, 49-48 - March 1 CNN poll)

The media does not want to get the shit kicked out of them by Trump. We just need to ask the bleeder about her ratings to find out all we need to know the reason.

Sadly, too many refuse to see what the msm is doing. As with McCain and Romney they waited until they were the nominee before they took them down for the benefit of the dem candidate.

Once he is running against "The Screech" they will bring up the bankruptcies that left the little guy hanging, eminent domain, support for planned parenthood, partial birth abortion, faux marriage, gun control, illegal immigrants...

You obviously have a lot of free time on your hands. I hope you’re diligently seeking out potentially harmful stories about Cruz, Rubio, and Kasich, not to mention doing opposition research on Bernie and Hillary, our real enemies.

The media? Lol.. He spends his time at MSNBC.. Not my media type.. I don’t even like Fox. Nah, Trump was selected by the GOPE long before the very first primary.. He has a record of supporting Single Payor, crony capitalism... He is everything a democrat could desire in a republican. I am not thrilled about this KKK mess either. He’s prob gonna haul me off, or punch me in the mouth, cause that’s the classy coward he is. Never trump.

I think they just started by seeing him as amusing and, following the old adage that “if it bleeds, it leads,” covered him heavily for the entertainment value.

But it turned out they were doing free advertising for him. Trump has gotten almost 1,000 minutes of airtime, while Cruz has gotten about 300 and Rubio only about 150.

It was, in a sense, the media that turned him into the thing Americans love the best, a celebrity. And it seems to be a media agreement that celebrities are beyond reproach and beyond questioning. You’d think that when he started threatening them if the dared to ask questions, they would have fought back, but I think they waited too long to get serious.

While I do think there’s media and Dem hope that he’ll be the candidate so that Hillary can win, mostly I think it was just the American media’s automatic celebration of trash and cheesiness that got him started.

Does anybody think they don’t have anything on this guy?

They’re saving the attacks on him for when he is the nominee. Then they will DESTROY him, and in walks another Clinton
