Not necessarily. There are a lot of reasons people could screw up. But again, the point isn’t even about the people who vote incorrectly. It’s about the people who count the votes. You can argue that people ought to be smart enough to figure it out, but right or wrong, the point is irrelevant. The simple fact is, the less obvious you make the ballot, the greater percentage of bad ballots you’re going to have. ‘Ought’ has nothing to do with it. And the more bad ballots you have, the more opportunity for voter fraud.
Folks, I’ve seen the ballot.
Ballot has a double listing of each candidate.
The ballot has all the original candidates before drop outs, they are all on the ballot, including Carly and Jeb the Mexican.
Guess who’s on the top of the ballot? Mexican Jeb. Trump is on the bottom of the check-box list.
One reporter, with a blown up sample in front of him, even conjectured the duplicate list on the bottom, could even be interpreted as VP slection boxes.
Opens the door for “coaching”
The thing about shenanigan like these is that, while they may only be capable of swaying the election a few percentage points, combine them with other dirty tricks, and you can sway an election. Imagine 3 or 4 separate lines of attack, each one shaving only a few percentage points and small enough be ignored by themselves, but collectively capable of erasing 10-12% and suddenly you’re in a dead heat.
So you can vote for Trump AND for Cruz, sweet
