We can hope. If nothing is done, it might cost her some votes during the general election.

Clinton is NOT going to jail.

If Clinton were going to jail, she would have been there long ago. This e-mail scandal is not her first.

Clinton going to jail would mean there is outside accountability at our highest levels of the massive US Government. There is not. Clinton is the empress dowager of the US Empire, and the only accountability will be when she gets stabbed in the back by someone internally.

It gives the ‘Rats an extra bonus. Not only does it shield Hillary from any prosecution, it gives the ‘Rats another cudgel to beat the ‘Pubs up with. And that is, “See how stupid these Republicans are, they gave the guilty guy immunity so we can’t punish him. Boy, I’d never do that. Look how much time and money those ‘Pubs spent just to smear Hillary.”

I don’t think that a pardon can be issued absent a conviction...

Remember, Ford pardoned Nixon even before Nixon was indicted. The precedent is there, and that precedent was set by a Republican.

Obama can pardon Hillary any old time. All that matters are the details...what Obama will get in return.

Given this 'resume' ... why is he qualified to make these assertions?

I would love to believe this is true ... but I would rather hear this from an attorney.

Andrew Napolitano has been saying the same thing, and iirc, he has been both a lawyer, *and* a judge. Is that credible enough for you?

This is why I believe Hillary Clinton is bargaining with Obama for a post election pardon in trade for her exiting the presidential race on medical grounds. Her medical condition would be used to justify deferring any prosecution until after the election at which time the pardon would be rolled out. And I still think the RATS party leadership really wants another candidate who is exempt from any real criticism or opposition because it can be tagged as racism - which terrifies the pubbies.

What remains unclear is Mrs. Clinton’s true motivation for using a personal server in the first place.

That's like saying it is "unclear" why people yell "Allahu Akbar!" and murder people.

No, it's all too clear why Clinton didn't want anyone being able to look at her traffic.

She is most definitely not going to jail — worst case is suspended sentence, most likely not even that. They wouldn’t want to deprive us of our “first woman president’ — just as we had to have our “first black president”. regardless of capability.

Valerie Jarrett will give Hillary two options: accept an indictment or a pardon.

She’ll take the pardon and Elizabeth Fauxcahontas Warren will step in.

Book it.

Then what’s the point of the immunity letter?

"The Government" is a collection of factions, many of whom are in bitter conflict with others. Both the FBI and the Justice Department include people who hate the Clintons and would bring them down if they were allowed to do so.

The anti-Clintons have been given enough leeway to make a credible threat, but no authorization to carry out that threat - at least for now.

It is a high-level extortion play between the Obama faction and the Clinton faction, and it will most likely be quietly settled with concessions that are never publicly disclosed.

Of course, if Trump or Cruz gets elected, the entire deal may change.

All that matters are the details...what Obama will get in return.

Has the Clinton Foundation already transferred the final $100 million to Moochie Obams's offshore bank account as payment for her "consulting services"?

Is that why Obama let the government go ahead with the immunity for the guy they are going to pin the blame on?

I’ve been getting e-mails and seeing posts for the last year about Clinton’s imminent arrest. I’m not going to get my hopes up.

The FBI knows Team 0dunga will not prosecute or indict Hillary. THEREFORE, the FBI will leak their final report (recommendation for indictment) and this report will:

a) Damage Hillary's campaign

b) Expose the administration's bias in refusing to indict Hillary for OBVIOUSLY SERIOUS crimes that damaged national security and even possibly led to the attack on Benghazi

Huma Abedin may become the fall guy. I believe she did a lot of the cutting and pasting of classified info. into emails for Hillary.

When the American people read the FBI's final report, there will be MUCH SHOCK that Team 0dunga didn't indict Hillary. Her crimes will be laid out for all to see and this will DAMAGE her campaign.

it's all too clear why Clinton didn't want anyone being able to look at her traffic

Don't forget that the flip of that is also possible. Hillary may have WANTED certain unauthorized people to have access to her traffic. One can't do that on a secure government server.

Incompetent, arrogant, evil...I think all applies here.

I would love to believe this is true ... but I would rather hear this from an attorney.

I'm amazed today by how many Americans are unwilling to accept pronouncements on matters of vital public importance unless those pronouncements have been uttered by annointed members of the priesthood of lawyers. We've long ago slipped from being a nation governed by laws to a nation governed by lawyers.

Third, the Justice Department would only grant immunity if information that Mr. Pagliano possesses about a more significant crime outweighed the crime that he committed and if it was in the public interest to do so.

Sorry, but this assumes a normal, healthy DOJ process is in play.

I would like to point out that if I was dishonest and was going to immunize a Mafia Don from future prosecution, I would consider issuing toothless immunization to any cohort with information which could be used by a future, honest prosecutor.

It would be interesting to see the terms of this immunization deal. It may be intended simply to keep future DOJ investigations from applying pressure to these people.

If they don’t prosecute her, it makes prosecuting any future classified information cases impossible.
