Spoken in Spanish no doubt.
Spoken in Spanish no doubt...
or Arabic.
Public schools are Satan’s American masterpiece.
Fact!
*The genie is out of the bottle. No putting her back in.*
Public schooling IS child abuse.
Fact!
How about, “I pledge no allegiance to any of the flags, so when a government leader I do not agree with gets elected, I can go to another country, where I can again pledge no allegiance.” Its kinda what I see in the media lately.
Wasn’t there a Politian who0 claimed to be a “citizen of Earth”?
Might I suggest some of John Gatto’s youtube videos on the history of public education.
Perhaps, too, the origins of public “education” in Prussia.
There is a reason Abe Lincoln’s image appears in many “government schools”.
I am aware of the centralizing movement. I’m a nationalist. I have no problem with this of Lincoln.
Many classrooms don't even have American flags in them any more. They have also removed the big wall clocks which used to be standard classroom decor because the students cannot tell time from an analog clock. Nope. They cannot read a clock anymore. Only digital ones. Just another excuse to take out their cell phones, which they live on. Barely any student is seen actually listening to a lesson now, just texting on their cell phones, watching movies on their cell phones or up to malicious mischief (taking unauthorized pictures of the teacher or other students or secretly recording them) with their cell phones.
If you had a ringside seat to this, as I do, you would weep.
Cuba and Mexico right in the middle. Nice.
Your lack of concern with the image of Lincoln comes as no surprise.
“....and then applied flags from all the Spanish speaking countries onto the stripes of the American flag.....Our dual language classroom strives to be a place that everyone feels welcome!”
I imagine that in NYC it was some special spanish/English class or all the other kids from other countries would have been included. (I thought perhaps it was a school in say San Diego).
I have no problem with “a place where everyone feels welcome” (as long as they are legal); and the idea of flags to recognize one’s heritage is fine. Just don’t deface the American flag, or do an “International pledge”.
I recall back in grade school when I, and then my kids, would do reports on their family “nationality” and show the flag, native dress and bring in some ethnic food.
