Trump and his staff have told some individuals -- including potential donors -- that as soon as the billionaire businessman secures the nomination, he will pivot and begin fundraising for a general election fight, the source said.

In the event that he wins, Trump will have to quickly scale up his campaign -- particularly if he's competing nationwide against Hillary Clinton's behemoth political organization. In private conversations, Trump and his aides have acknowledged that the Republican Party will need to be well-funded for the general election, and that Trump will work with the party to ensure that's the case.

It would be ridiculous to turn down your own party’s funds that they collect from all the GOP voters to fund the general election campaign. And of course you know this. Or if you don’t that would make you well, ignernt. :-)

No.

Cruz has proven to me, to donors, to Senate, to Congress, that he is his own man. He’s proven it over and over again.

As president, as the most powerful person in the world, opportunities for corruption are all over. Insulation is not the answer. Character is.

I believe in his character because he has been tested and withstood DC pressure repeatedly.

Not only is DT not DC tested, everywhere he’s gone he’s used corrupt practices to get ahead. I have no reason to have faith that power will reform him.

I agree. He should say he’ll accept up to $100 donations so people can have some skin in the game.

First off....I don't think Trump is a billionaire.

I think he's BS'ing....American's.

He's done it his entire life....

That said.......how does anyone square away..his friendships and donations to the Clintons, Reid, Bloomberg, Crist, et al....

I just don't see it.............
