Trump dominates with huge turnouts, wide base of support
Washington Post ^ | March 2, 2016 | Bill Barrow and Emily Swanson, AP

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump continues to demonstrate a wide base of support, riding record turnouts to seven victories out of the 11 states where Republicans cast Super Tuesday ballots.

Exit polls conducted for the Associated Press and other media across nine of the states showed Trump drawing significant support across educational, ideological, age and income classifications. Perhaps most important for Trump: Even among voting groups where he was weakest, he maintained enough strength to deny Sens. Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio any chance of catching him.

Time to face reality and unite behind Trump to defeat Hillary. As they say, "a house divided cannot stand."

Trump’s wide support is a myth. He has the highest negative ratings of any major candidate in history, and, according to current polling, loses to Hillary in the general. Both Rubio and Cruz poll better, and actually beat Hillary.

I hope you are correct because based upon the infighting, vitriol and nastiness I been witnessing between FReepers, I have my doubts.

Trump is the only one that will stop the invasion of socialist illegals. Cruz has been a senator 4 years and has done nothing because Cruz is a fraud.

Cruz has been a senator for 4 years since 2012 and hasn’t done a thing to stop the illegals’ invasion as more are coming now than ever before.Cruz is a fraud.

The only thing Cruz has done is given teddy bears and soccer ball to that invasion of illegal children:

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2014/07/18/mike-lee-sends-regrets-ted-cruz-signs-up-for-glenn-beck-soccer-balls-teddy-bears/
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) will join Glenn Beck this weekend at the U.S.-Mexico border on what Beck describes as a humanitarian mission. The Tea Party Senator will join the radio talk show host and his followers in his effort to bring soccer balls and teddy bears to illegal immigrant children
http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2014/07/18/mike-lee-sends-regrets-ted-cruz-signs-up-for-glenn-beck-soccer-balls-teddy-bears/
There’s another massive wave of illegal children coming to America . What will fraud Cruz do ? More teddy bears.

Cruz has done nothing to stop the invasion of socialist illegals into the U.S.A. that will vote to turn the U.S.A. socialist. Cruz is a fraud.

This web page shows how all of Cruz’s flip flops on trade and immigration prove he is a fraud and is for open borders:

http://dianawest.net/Home/tabid/36/EntryId/3275/Trump-Senior-Policy-Adviser-Stephen-Miller-The-Moment-Ted-Cruz-Threw-in-with-the-Globalists.aspx

If Cruz were really a conservative then he would have done something to try to stop the invasion as he has been a Senator for years . But Cruz has tried to pass no good laws that help America but only the worst laws ever TPA TPP(Trojan horse for Obama immigration agenda) and the corker bill .

Cruz voted for the Corker bill which allows Iran to build nuclear weapons.

It’s really amazing to see the onslaught that has been unleashed on Trump, by those supposedly in the same party. It reminds me of the onslaught unleashed on Palin in 2008. Given the level of vitriolic columns being spewed all over the net, it looks like a New and Improved JournOlist is operating, this time on the so-called “conservative” side.

In 2008 Ezra Kline and about 300 “journalists” and bloggers organized the JournOlist to actively campaign for 0bama. After Palin was picked as VP they are the ones who were deployed to destroy her, keeping up their attacks on her well into 2012, and sporadically ever since.

The latest RCP average for polls Trump vs. Clinton is
Clinton +3.4. This is based on 5 different polls.

That is far from an overwhelming lead for Clinton especially this early in the game.

At this time in the 1980 election (early March), Reagan was behind Carter by about 15 points.

Well no wonder! These evil GOPe SOBs have been running anybody out who isn’t just like them. But don’t you know, they still want your vote! It’s sort of like a shareholders meeting, and they’ve been scooping up all the proxies so long they have forgotten they don’t own them.

They don’t own our votes. That seems pretty common sense, but apparently not. What’s it gonna take for them to understand that they have miserably failed us with the trust we have invested already, and that we don’t owe them our votes in perpetuity? That perhaps we realize WHAT THEY DON’T! That once the American market is destroyed that it’s not going to magically regenerate because, darn it, they BELIEVE!!

Ronald Reagan has words for you.

Wow negative ratings. Exactly 2 points higher then Clinton’s.

Get a grip. It is these sort of emotionally hyperbolic postings that make people wonder if anyone on Team Cruz is over 15 years old.

“Ronald Reagan has words for you.

“A man who is 75-80% on my side is a valued Friend and Ally, not my enemy”.”

Trump’s history shows he’s not 75-80% on my side. So he’s not a valued friend or ally of mine.

I agree with your point that any polls now are not reflective of what will happen in Nov.

But the Carter/Reagan scenario can’t be comparable to today. In March of 1980, nobody knew Reagan . It’s safe to say everybody knows Trump

Only gotten 35% of the votes thus far. That tells me 65% of those voting prefer someone else.

I’m not the one that boosted McCain or Romney to the nomination. You can’t blame me for that.
