Top Republicans including governors who convened an emergency conference call on Monday on which Trump was Topic A expect the real estate mogul to carry as many as 10 states on Tuesday night, an outcome that would deal a body blow to Sen. Ted Cruz, who has staked his campaign heavily on the Southern states holding nominating contests, and to Sen. Marco Rubio, who has yet to win a primary and isnt expected to do so on Tuesday.
Trumps march to the nomination has set off a wave of anxiety across the Republican Party establishment as top officials weigh whether to endorse him or denounce him as anathema to the partys values. Reflecting that angst, on Monday morning, New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, the heads of the Republican Governors Association, convened fellow governors for an unusual conference call to discuss how the primary was unfolding and Trump was a central topic of conversation.

Yeah but Obama is incompetent. Rome bad dictators before Caesar, but none had the lasting legacy.
To Trump’s credit, I think he can leave a lasting mark. The question is, is it going to be great or a disaster?
I love the smell of their fear.

That’s my thought, too. The Tea Party has just been “steeping” their tea in the teapot and waiting to pour.
The Establishment is lucky the revolution is using ballots not bullets.
It’s not that the tea party is waiting in the wings. I think the tea party has morphed into the Trump campaign.
2 Drunk goofballs complaining about drink-free Trump.
He’s got all the right enemies so he must be the right guy...LOL
And timing is everything.
>>Gee, if only the GOP had worked this hard in 2008 and 2012, we might not have been stuck with Obama for 8 years
It’s surreal. They’re mobilizing like Ike getting ready for D-Day now, but when they fight Obama it’s just a non-contact slap fight.
LOL. That’s about it.
A lot of comments here based on the old 2-party system.
The old 2-party system has been dead for a long time now.
There is NO 2-party system; just the UniParty in DC. The members of the UniParty have done, and do, exactly as they’re told by the corrupt regime...nothing more, nothing less.
Now, the UniParty sees their grip on the money and power being threatened by a Trump presidency.
They cannot allow this to happen...they’ll take him out, one way or another.
I really hope and pray Trump has the best security folks in the world...he’s gonna need em.
Roll on, Trump. You got em blowin’ holes in their pantyhose.

I loved Paulie! LOL!
"THIRD Party????!?", I responded incredulously, "I'd be thrilled with a SECOND Party!!!"
Amen!
I wonder if Chris Christie made the endorsement out of hope of a cabinet position.
Is Trump Hitler? No.
Is he Ceasar? Unlikely.
Given how much Obama has done in defiance of the law from legislating CO2 a pollutant to de facto amnesty if you said you came here as a kid even if you showed up last week to refusing to enforce traditional marriage laws to ignoring nearly every subpoena from anyone, if Trump does even a fraction of that, he’s still better than Obama.
YES! Remember Paul's line "He who can destroy a thing, controls a thing." Great analogy.
The GOPe elephant: “Eek, a Trump!”
