Rush, even from the early days, I think was always inside GOPe Establishment. Don’t forget he was always close to the Bush’s, bragged about the parties he went to and the people he knew. He doesn’t seem to do that much anymore.

It said he downplayed the bill and mischaracterized it. And that was what the supporters wanted from him and the other talk hosts.

He’s saying he posed it as a “guarantee” that they can’t vote.
That’s WAY different than “opposing amnesty” and also he should know there is absolutely NO way to ensure that “they won’t vote.” Silly.
You’ve got to remember, they do have a spin control company for him. They employed it during Fluke and the drug situation. Probably invoked it here too.

You know, I normally don’t give a rag like the NYT the time of day, but Rush’s bizarre excusing of Rubio’s participation in the Gang of Eight just doesn’t mesh with his being “tough on immigration” meme that he always says he’s pushed.

I’m simply asking if you have read the bill, don’t get so defensive. But I have another question and I have asked it multiple times, no answers. Trump is big on “sending them back and letting the good ones come back” are you aware that this is just another Democrats proposal which is called touchback? (Trump dumbs it down for the common peeps) NOW HERE IS THE QUESTION.......after the “good ones” comeback what is Trumps proposal as to what he will do with them? I assure you it will be something very close to the gang of eight bill.
Rush distanced himself for years from Republicans, and has referred to himself as ‘conservative’ rather than ‘Republican’, at least starting the year Bush ran for office.
I was pissed at him for getting on the bandwagon during the Harriet Miers nomination and parroting the snotty elite conservatives (many of whom now don’t support Trump) — Rush seemed to be influenced by people who did NOT support the GOP at that time. His brother, Levin...? IDK.
I don’t believe he’s ever been part of the eGOP.
