I disagree that Rush has been disingenuous. That is only a conclusion if you ignore his explanations of why he was stating his various positions.
I listen every day, and that is not the conclusion I would reach at all.
Telling the listeners what others have said is not an adoption of the statements reported, and he frequently states this.
Scalias murder has scared a lot of them into line. How many people really think Rubio is the best man for president? Surely these people endorsing Rubio feel like total fools having to claim they support him. They apparently can’t even think of one accomplishment of his. It’s all just patently ridiculous. And Rush has to do it not once, but every day for hours.
Why does he have to address those things?
Is there a rule about what Rush must discuss on his show?
I think the things he is discussing are more important.
Hell yeah he’s reading this thread. He knows this is where he can see smart conservative response to his tap dancing. And it ain’t working, Rush.
I agree with the guy up thread who said that he expected a better defense. This was really weak, Rush. It really was.
If Murdoch and Ailes were behind it then of course Fox is going to push it, they own the company. No wonder they hate Trump.

He just tried to make it a big point that the dinner was in 2011 and the Rubio appearances on his show were in 2013.
What difference does that make?

Also, if he was in no way convinced by the libs lobbying efforts over a meal, why would that be news. He probably has a lot of people that try to get him to change his mind. Must he discuss them all?

Yes, Rubio was on his show and Rush was gushing over him and telling us this bill wasn’t really amnesty.

Rubio wasn’t there or mentioned at the dinner, BUT
“some days later, Rubio asked to come on Rush’ program; Rush had him on.”
(LATER in Rush’ confession, Rush said he misspoke and never interviewed Rubio til 2013)
That is as odd mistake for Rush to make. WHO did Rush interview “some days later”?
The point is, he made statements in the past and you want us to ignore them, but that rule only applies to Trump, and not Rush.
There was a time when Rubio was believed to be more conservative than he has turned out to be. People learned a lot about him though he actions. My opinion has certainly degraded a great deal over time. Can Rush have the same situation? I guess not.
