I see it this way:

People used to ask me if I thought Obama was the Beast in Revelation. My response was that although I thought it was possible that it is more likely that he’ll be part of the worldwide culture that sets it up for the Beast.

If Trump becomes president (my tag line notwithstanding), I believe it will mean he is probably the Beast. I base that on his style, his positions on issues and the times in which we live.

This is why it is impossible for me to vote for him.

That’s what I love best about Trump .. how he confounds EVERYONE. All the experts, the pros, the elites who know so much better than us bumpkins. Just LOVE it.

And, I do think he’d be a fantastic president. Someone coming into office with real world experience... just think of it. A tough negotiator who take no $&%* from anyone, but who knows how to give when he thinks the circumstances are right.

And, above all, a president who loves this country, who’s become a billionaire living in his magnificent penthouse high above Manhattan and flying around in his own 747, but who can still relate to the desires of Joe Blow out here in the fruited plain. No, he’s not going to start hanging out with Joe, but will see that the circumstances are right that Joe can make a living, take care of his family, live without fear of his job being taken by an illegal alien, worship as he and his family wish, and enjoy a beer with his friends. Who could ask for anything more?

I see her getting about 350 EV at this point. Trump’s negatives are even higher than hers and he’s given her plenty of ammunition to work with.

“The Republican Establishment brought this on themselves.”......

YES, and hopefully they will rue the day when Trump brings it down around their ears. Trump saw the massive weakness in the republican party and has taken the advantage of using it against them, he is no dummy. I can also see a totally different conservative party erupting when the dust settles and the republican party only a bad memory. Yes, they DID bring it on themselves.

A Rubio win would mean unbridled immigration and a
Spanish-speaking cabinet.

IMHO

a Trump Clinton showdown shootout will have us all glued to the talking heads on the tube, in record numbers.

I'm looking forward to the first time they debate and he tells her, "You're just concerned I'm going to prosecute you."

LMAO!!! That's just gonna make me warm & fuzzy all over.

He is not doing himself any favors by attacking the other candidates the way he is.

Entirely incorrect. He is doing amazing BECAUSE he is willing to go on the attack. This is something we, the GOP electorate, have been waiting for many years. We hoped to see it in Romney, and he let us down, as has every single GOP President/Candidate since Reagan.

Political warfare is something the dummycrats do quite well, and the GOP utterly fails at. Until now. #Trump2016

Sometimes he seems like a character right out of an Ayn Rand novel. An Ayn Rand novel that we are trapped in!

Well, I said pretty often here last August (at the latest) Trump would be the nominee. I showed why the delegate math worked for him. Glad to see others suddenly said the same thing -—that suddenly come out of the woodwork.

Yes, exactly. When it is Trump v Clinton Trump will see all sorts of coalescing and attracting independents and Dems. ALL Dems aren’t nuts. Some still love America.

Nevada GOP primary turnout 75,000-—not only a record but double previous record.

I voted for Cruz in my Iowa caucus. Still like him.

But the GOPe certainly lost, they never really had a chance (because they didn’t have a candidate). They are not gonna stick us with some New England liberal again like they did with Mitt. Nope. We went around the GOPe and it looks like we are going to select our own New England liberal. That will show them.

Trump fans. I don’t mind Trump, and I don’t mind Bernie. Bernie tells us who he is, and he is running on his past. As a conservative, I completely disagree with him, but at least he is honest. You can like Trumps tell-it-like-he-sees-it style, and like some (or much) of what he says about immigration, increasing taxes on the wealthy, or supporting the use of imminent domain against fellow citizens for private use - not gonna argue with you about his past actions vs his current rhetoric. Please, just don’t go GOPe on me and tell me this guy is a conservative. Thanks.

The reality is that

1. Trump
2. Hillary
3. Stay Home

Are the choices... didn’t we learn this in 2012?

The votes needed for nomination and the nomination, itself, is not finished! we will have to wait. One must wait for finality!
In the meantime, let’s think of this quote and what it meant.

The only thing worse than Donald Trump's LIES, Flipp-Flopping, "Brown-Shirt style" threats of physical violence against protestors ...

is the genuinely pathetic excuse-making by his followers, such as "USAFA92's".

This is HOW Rev. Jim Jones persuaded his followers to drink the poison cool-aide.

Donald Trump "starts" a lie about Ted Cruz leaving Nevada ... and his cult-fans LOVE it ...

Donald Trump deserves congratulations after winning NH, SC and NV. It's politics.

But sometimes, as in NFL-NBA sports, the "winners" turn out to be complete @ssholes.

If "anyone" at Free Republic publicly threatened to punch the lights out of a guy standing across the street (exercising his first amendment rights) ...

"We" would be arrested and have our @ss thrown in jail.

Not The Donald, or Hillary either (funny how they both LOVE Planned Parenthood).

Draw your own conclusions.

Maybe some animals are INDEED more equal than others ...

I think Trump WILL shrink the government - he’ll call it eliminating waste and inefficiencies, he’ll call it firing incompetent people, he’ll call it getting rid of the stupid stuff, he’ll call it firing politicians and bureaucrats who are in the pocket of lobbyists.

Some conservatives won’t be satisfied because he won’t cite founding conservative principles while he does it. Some conservatives won’t be happy because he won’t give credit to the great conservative thinkers that pioneered the conservative movement, and they won’t feel that conservatism has been vindicated after years in exile. Some conservatives will not like the tone and will not be able to accept Trump’s version of conservatism. Some will want him to focus on social conservative issues and appoint only people who are outspokenly pro life or anti gay marriage. I think he will disappoint. He wants to stop the illegal invasion, cronyism, he wants to end the tyranny of political correctness and the era of apologizing to the rest of the world for our success. He wants America to win again.

I really think he’ll cut the government just like any CEO would throw out the failed management team after a corporate acquisition.

I would love to see another Reagan emerge, but Cruz is not that. Right now we have 20 trillion debt and democrats who seem determined to make America poor and weak so the rest of the world will like us. This is an emergency! After Trump wards off the immediate dangers, there will be time for philosophic leaders who can restore the checks and balances to keep America on the right (conservative) path for centuries to come. Right now we need more of a ruthless war time president to take a machete to the bureaucracy.

Actually I could see him cutting waste effectively. I'm not blind to Trumps talents. But his history leads me to believe he'll also build new programs and expand the mandate of existing programs. He's a "doer" - some people think that's a positive and it is in private practice. But it's a nightmare characteristic in a government leader, at least from a conservative perspective.

He will look at every perceived problem as something the Trump government should solve. I don't welcome more government power and control in my life. Even if you believe Trump would make only great decisions and run all these programs effectively, one day he will be gone and the greatly expanded government will still be running our lives under President George P or President Chelsea.
