Rush just said that it appears that Trump gained from Bush’s withdrawal, even beats Kasich in Ohio.

Actually, they were set up in 2012 by the Convention to re-elect President Romney. Yeah, that worked out pretty well. :>)

Robespierre, Napoleon, Hilter, Mussolini, Stalin, Obama ...

All Ego-maniac power hungry, deceptive, populist, lying (both sides of the argument) ... riding a wave of angry voters.

Is this America's Donald Trump in 2016 ?

As a FreeRepublic (Class of 1998) patriot, who's posted many times applauding Donald Trump's ideas and courage ...

I continue to be "incrementally" dismayed at Donald Trump's demeanor and apparent personal immaturity.

How about You ?

How are we supposed to support a candidate who has a "Howard Dean Moment" once a week ?

Will a Donald Trump "better deal at this time (2017-2018)" cancel-out "The Mexico Wall" ?

Frankly, it would be GREAT if Donald Trump could "morph" into the "more civilized" candidate that he's promised to at some point.

Finally, let's consider General George S. Patton Jr. for a moment.

Patton was a fierce warrior against the Nazis.

That was good.

Kinda like Donald Trump regarding The Mexico Wall, halting Islamic Visas temporarily, ending Sanctuary Cities, rebuilding the military, and several other points.

But General Patton voiced his genuine respect to German General Erin Rommel.

"Rommel, You magnificent bastard -- I read your book !"

Does Donald Trump ever do that ? "No" or very rarely.

No ... Donald Trump rarely behaves like Gen. George Washington.

Indeed ... Donald Trump perfectly mimics the "Do ANYTHING to ACHIEVE Power and Wealth" like the 1880 American "Robber Barrons".

Ouch !

Kinda like the GOPe "bastards" who screwed Chris McDaniels in Mississippi in 2014.

Kinda like Hitler's Nazi Brownshirts who viciously attacked ANY and ALL who dared voice ANY criticism or dissent against their DEAR LEADER.

It's estimated that almost four-million Conservative Americans REFUSED in 2012 to vote for Mitt Romney ... considering Mitt a galaxy-class @sss-hole.

I personally held my nose and voted for Romney anyway.

But 4,000,000 America Conservatives told Mitt Romneny to GO TO HELL.

Donald "Scorched Earth Victory at any Price" Trump risks the same fate.

The painful TRUTH is Donald Trump has become an @sshole.

Kinda like a nausetating version of New York's Chuck Schummer.

This is such a Shakespearean tragedy in light of Donald Trump's great ideas (see above list).

These words will "certainly" represent a moment of "cognitive dissonance" for many Donald Trump supporters at FreeRepublic.

Film at Eleven.

No, they knew Romney was a Designated Loser just like McCain.
He threw the election every bit as much as McCain did, although he didn’t endorse him like McCain did.

Then who would you like? Me, I wouldn’t mind Jeff Sessions, but I have mixed emotions. First, he wouldn’t be in the Senate. While he would help solidify the South and more conservative voters, he’s also an “old white guy” at 69. Also, it’d simply drive the Lefties NUTS to have a guy with the middle name “Beauregard” only 1 heartbeat away from the Presidency. The deciding factor for me is that Sessions has no real enemies and that he’s very much against uncontrolled immigration. That is, for me, THE defining issue of our times - because if we lose on it, 10-20 years later we lose on EVERY issue of any importance to us - by weight of sheer demographics. The Dems have planned this since 1965, and they are a c’s hair away from a permanent majority...just ONE more Presidency, or capturing just ONE house of Congress, and they can stop any counter-immigration action.

Any other suggestions?

Sessions for President!

I don’t want him as VP, too vauable in the Senate, same with Ted Cruz.
Dave Brat, my Congressman would be outstanding.

I’m sorry, what were you saying? It all became meaningless babble after “Napoleon”

Silly. And, yeah, I’ve had Napoleon and French Rev from one of the best, Gondon Wright. Trump wasn’t mentioned once.

Silly.
