I think you are right. The more he trashes Cruz the more the media will focus on their bitter rivalry.

Sorry, but sick is making personal attacks on a good man and trying to destroy him. Ted Cruz is a much better man than trump.
Trump’s lunacy has led me to reconsider Rubio in my top two. I had dismissed Marco after his gang of eight activities, but Trump’s ridiculous Cruz attacks are over the top. Not necessary and largely delusional.
Remember when Trump called Cruz a “manic”? That came about as the result of a released audio of the comment made by Cruz to a group of donors about Trump’s judgment to handle the nuclear trigger. That was a slur that was used against Reagan. That comment ended the truce between the two.
Since then, it has been back and forth. Cruz has vocally and mockingly called Trump immature, saying his two little daughters are better behaved, etc. So Cruz and his supporters can not really assume the moral high ground in all of this.
I would assume last night’s accusation about Cruz being a liar was in response to Cruz saying on the O’Reilly show that Trump was in favor of citizenship for illegals, which of course, is a lie.
Trump’s m.o. seems to be that if you try to besmirch me, I will retaliate twice as hard.
It is obvious that Carson is still bitter at Cruz for his trying to steal his votes away by starting the rumor that Carson was dropping out in Iowa.
And who did Cruz say was the driving force to get him elected in his run off with Dewhurst?

I like Trump and Cruz for very different reasons. I dislike each of them for different reasons. I prefer Trump over Cruz and have lots of good reasons.
This ain't one of them.

I predict Cruz is going to beat Tump like a kettle drum at the next debate. I hope there are competent medical people nearby with tranquilizers and a straight-jacket for when Trump flips out.
