Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas noticeably toughened his stance on immigration Monday night, saying in an interview that the U.S. should deport all 12 million illegal immigrants now here.
In an interview with Fox News, host Bill O'Reilly asked Mr. Cruz whether he would "round up all 12 million illegal aliens here, and if so, how?" Mr. Cruz replied, "yes, we should deport them. We should build a wall, we should triple the Border Patrol. Federal law requires that anyone here illegally that's apprehended should be deported." When Mr. O'Reilly pressed him how this would happen and whether a President Cruz would tell federal law-enforcement to actively seek out illegals, the Texan didn't back away. "Look, Bill, of course you would. That's what ICE exists for. We have law enforcement that looks for people who are violating the laws, that apprehends them and deports them," Mr. Cruz said.
In earlier interviews, Mr. Cruz had parried questions about what the federal government should do with the illegal immigrants already here and downplayed what he called a "deportation force." "I don't intend to send jackboots to knock on your door and every door in America. That's not how we enforce the law for any crime," he told CNN in the runup to the Iowa caucuses. According to the Dallas Morning News, Mr. Cruz had for years ducked the question of what to do with illegals here, saying that was a question only worth asking and answering once the U.S.-Mexico border is secure.

I knew a guy who was going to run against Ann Richards in Texas in 1992. He tried to tell people “I’m sorta’ like Ross Perot.” He told me he knew that probably wouldn’t work because he could be a twin of Perot but Perot’s people wouldn’t vote for him. In other words, “Perot can pull it off. I can’t.”
Same for Cruz.
Ted comprehends the term Sovereign nation. It’s a basic constitutional tenet. It would be nice if everyone did also... But they are head over heels in it for mr single Payor 200.. Wait 2016. So you can die inside your wall waiting for healthcare.
Cruz should come and say he was trying to humor people on immigration in 2013, but he realized what greedy pricks the Dreamers & the open borders lobby are.

At least to me the use of the word “Amnesty” makes your statement a distortion of the what Trump is proposing. Amnesty is used in regard to citizenship. At least that is how the democrats seem to use the term
At no point is Trump offering citizenship. What he is offering is a temporary foreign worker permit.
It is touchback legal work permit for non citizens.
Big difference.

Cruz if he has guts to deport illegals (which he does not) will give them HB1 Visa to come back. He voted for 500% more HB 1 Visa to come here each year. They are no better than illegals they take US Citizens just like illegals. Ask people at Disney (this going on all over US) who was replaced by HB 1 Visa workers at lower wages.

Wait there were people here saying Ted has been promising to do this all along. Just like the lie Trump will let illegals back in. Hard to support someone who constantly lies and have to hear his supporters do the same day after day. This is why Cruz is losing, the lack of truth is obvious. One the first comments in this thread is that Trump plans to let illegals back in, the lies push honest people away and Cruz continues to lose because of it.
Right now Ted would say anything. He’s in desperationville. Up until now you could not even get him to discuss deportation. I’m not buying it.

The only way in under President Trump is work visas if we need them, jobs for Americans first.
“We’ll have a big strong wall with a beautiful door” or words to that effect.
I would support laws that prohibit those who entered the U.S. illegally from ever getting work permits or citizenship.
I think without this, allowing re-entry is, eventually, citizenship, which is an incentive for more illegal immigration.
