The question is whether Donald Trump will try to broker a deal between McConnell and Obama by the terms of which McConnell agrees to an appointee who will rule against Cruz on natural birth citizenship.

McConnell will go for the deal because he, like Trump, is a dealmaker with the other side and he knows he will be able to cut deals with Trump but not with Cruz and Obama will go for the deal because he will get a leftist judge and Obama knows that Trump will be more easily beaten than Cruz in the general election.
