You know, we don’t have to be particularly mean about it, but Cruz was culpable in Robert’s appointment.
It doesn’t matter if he was instrumental or not. He supported it in the end.
So if I want someone that can be trusted, is that Ted Cruz or not?
We all know the answer to that question if Trump had been the person to back Roberts. We would have seen that listed here with new threads hundreds of times, and we know it.
I just don’t buy Cruz as being this rock solid Conservative.
That’s my take on him.

I’m a Cruz supporter but that statement disturbs & offends me. Are you saying that God killed Scalia just to help Cruz win?? That is blasphemous and idolatry.
It disturbs me to see some of the loudest Cruz supporters speak of Cruz as if he were “holy” and perfect. Cruz is a good man but he is NOT holy or the Messiah. He is a human being and a very, very flawed man.
Celebrating the death of a very good, honorable, Christian Man just so your preferred candidate can get an advantage is detestable and almost satanic. I am NOT happy about Scalia’s death and am grieving the loss of a great American.
Cruz wrote in support for John Roberts after he was nominated, just like many others who were respectful of the President’s choice. However, before George W. picked Roberts Senator Cruz was supporting Michael Luttig(sp.?). I remember hearing about Luttig before Roberts was selected and hoping he would be selected. He was one of the most, if not THE most, conservative choice. George W. went with the “safe pick” instead by picking Roberts.
It makes you weep doesn’t it? I’ve been trying to catch up here and am absolutely disgusted with what I am reading. One vanity after another.
A very decent and honorable man died today, and without missing a beat, these ‘Christians’ have flooded this board with politics.
If I had any inclining of not trusting Cruz supporters, they removed ALL doubt tonight. Some very very very sick people out there.

Appointing Constitutional judge affects EVERYTHING - protecting unborn babies, 1st Amendment rights, 2nd Amendment rights - everything!
We can’t take a chance on something this important!
Donald would be the worst choice, because he thinks the 2nd Amendment is for PRIVATE businesses to throw elderly ladies off their property. The Courts eventually sided with the lady.
Has Donald ever read the 2nd Amendment? It doesn’t seem so.
