It’s ironic that you referred to Krauthammer. While many Cruz supporters like to point out Trump’s past as evidence of not being conservative, you use a man who worked for Walter Mondale against Reagan in ‘84.

OP is obviously insane.

I am a prep school-and-ivy league-educated conservative. I don’t like Donald Trump because he’s a regressive, Socialism Lite idiot.

Trump is a 1/100 of 1%er ho was raised in a $400 million net worth household. He has about as much connection to the working class as Barack Obama.

I agree with you in sprint but the founder created a republic with a purposely weak central government with a few very defined limited functions. The lions share of power originality lied with the states.

YOU ALL mark my words.

Trump, “Bob the builder” will never build that wall

andif it could be done people will climb it or tunnel under it.

Trump is a snake oil salesman like all the others.
Cruz is the only one with a track record of taking the punches to defend the constitution and the people.

Yeah I know that makes him a pussy LOL>>> ok name calling aside what makes you think trump will not accomplish what he sets out to do. i think he has actually built things. you can see the stuff he built. people live work and play in his space. i don’t think that is snake oil.

Ted is the only candidate since Reagan that stands on the Constitution and states rights

I can watch my own damned fence

If the Feral Gov would allow us to watch OUR fence line all this BS would stop.

We round them up and hand them to ICE and THEY let them go.

Now obama has halved funding to the border patrol

Let the people police the streets
Let the people be free

I dont want to pay no protection money. and that is Donalds gig. “Nice country it would be a shame if it got broken’..

How sad it is that you believe that.

I do not think Trump is or will be perfect, but he will be a hell of a lot better than anybody we've seen since Reagan. Cruz is my first choice, but I will support Trump. As much as I like Cruz, I do believe Trump will be more electable than Cruz in the general.

Certainly it was a concern to avoid a tyrannical central government . . . and the States had to be enticed in (although there was talk of militarily overwhelming Rhode Island if it continued to hold out on ratification so that it would not become a beachhead for foreign powers). BUT, the prime motive of the founders, I would argue, was to create a strong country out of the loose confederation of states that existed before. The founding fathers all hoped the new nation would grow and thrive. George Washington wrote somewhere that he foresaw it expanding to the Pacific Ocean.

My point is that smaller government is a valid principle in many situations, but not in all — including the problems we face in 2016 with vanquishing the evil globalism, which seeks to destroy our nation.

I believe we MUST understand that this is a WAR to preserve America — not so much against a particular foreign nation, but against international forces that want to absorb America into a global power structure that is TOTALLY OUTSIDE THE RULE OF OUR CONSTITUTION.

Have you read any of the Federalist papers? A strong centralized federal govt was the last thing the founders wanted.

The Cruzers would like to replace a Harvard-educated lawyer who served less than one term in the Senate with another Harvard-educated lawyer who has served less than one term in the Senate.

Cruz excelled as a student and was described by Alan Dershowitz as among the very brightest he has ever taught at Harvard Law. After graduation he got real jobs as lawyer at the highest levels, including an almost impossible to get Supreme Court clerkship. On the other hand, Zero is an affirmative action slacker who has never succeeded at anything other than convincing the gullible and gimme dats to vote for him. I do not necessarily think lawyers and senators are best equipped for the presidency - and I will support Cruz or Trump - but Cruz and Zero are in entirely different leagues.

They already had a weak federation. Though they wanted controls, limits, they were clearly trying to strengthen the federal government.

You are just wrong my friend. Read up.

The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite.

The history speaks for itself. The Constitution and the central government were strengthened by the founders. They already had a weak federation. I don’t see how this can be in dispute.
