Will the crash of 2016 be worse than 2008?

Central banks have failed to solve the crisis, and instead have taken on more debt than any time in history. At the same time, western institutions are welcoming in Islamic money. Does this mean Sharia-compliant finance?

Listen here: http://usatransnationalreport.org/2016/02/13/usa-transnational-report-february-13-2016-guest-charles-ortel/

While European banks, such as Deutsche Bank, falter, what does this mean for the U.S. economy?

And what does the future look like?

Charles Ortel is an investor and writer interested in economics, geo-politics, history, travel and just, lasting peace. He has done extensive research on the fraudulent activities of the Clinton Foundation, and is known for predicting the revelation of fraud at General Electric. His work can be found at CharlesOrtel.com.

Topics of Discussion:

The Bank of England joins the IMF to embrace Islamic Finance - really?

European banks face a 2008-like crisis - will it spread?

What could happen next, and what does it mean for the 2016 election?

This year’s crash will be as bad as necessary to ensure that insiders get elected again and have another excuse to funnel tax dollars to their biggest donors. Given Trump’s overwhelming strength and an extremely electable and popular conservative backup in Cruz, I suspect the “Crash of 2016” will be very bad indeed.

I envision another scenario. If the economy crashes, after never really recovering, it should make Trump unstoppable. It would be proof positive of what Trump is saying, that DC is run by stupid people.

I can say for sure that

1) Trump will not “suspend his campaign because of the historic crisis” like McLame did.

2) Trump will not endorse his opponent like McLame did.

I didn’t say the DC insiders were smart.

They believe they can stop Trump with a concerted party/media effort to attack him. They still haven’t learned that the obvious debate moderator bias against Trump makes him more popular with those who despise those inside the Beltway.

I suspect they sincerely believe that they can stop him with a real economic emergency, which will, of course, convince us to put an experienced, mature insider in charge to deal with it. Those in the GOP establishment don’t talk to ordinary people, and they don’t realize we don’t actually enjoy watching them manipulating our neighbors or trying to manipulate us.

They think money equals IQ there and that they're the smartest people in the land.

This time its global. The whole globe is imploding. We are likely entering a deflationary depression and its going to be very bad.

As I sit here and look out the window, I see the resident mocking bird gobbling down the orange pyracantha berries and in the distance, the bright blue sky is not falling

My sentiments as well, yet . . . we were in St. George, UT yesterday and the place looked as if you kicked over an ant hill. Cars jamming the streets, people EVERYWHERE, and store/restaurant parking lots filled to capacity (except for the mall). Every time we have gone there, the place is bustling - but I have never seen the place so busy - even the locals commented on it. We thought that maybe it was a convention or other big shindig but it was just "business as usual". Reminded me of some big Eastern city, and we were glad to get out of there.

This might be because Utah is better run than many states, and so maybe an aberration. I KNOW (:-) ) we are in for it, but you sure can't tell from this town.

Maybe its because of ski season.

This is true. We have been at it for 6 years. We just picked up more sugar the other day. Now I am working on Toilet paper which for some reason I just have not stockpiled. We use the 5 gallon buckets with mylar bags then go to Costco and get a 25-50 lb bag of sugar and then fill up a bucket and seal it shut.

Folks need to remember canned meats and fish. You need about 50 grams of protein a day to remain healthy.Dried beans or rice is good too.

Yes we have the beans and rice in the 5 gallon buckets along with hard red winter wheat, 9 grain cereal, 16 bean soup mix, Ezekial bread mix, corn meal and flour. We bought the Pleasant Hill grinder with the corn auger so we can grind all this stuff up by hand.

We have been stocking up on canned beef stew and chicken and dumplings at Aldi’s. $1.79 per large can and its very tasty. Also we stocked up this week at Aldi’s on the large cans of salmon on sale at $1.99 can. Really good deals. Aldi’s canned stuff is really good quality.

Don't think so - too low an elevation (2,800) - and we have yet to see any promos for that sport. Wiki says the place is the second fastest growing area in the country - dammit.

Well there are areas which are doing OK at the moment. I guess Utah is one of them. The LDS are among the most prepped up group of people in the world. They have their own canneries in every ward. We have gone to the one here in Atlanta and bought a bunch of stuff and its really reasonable.
