I believe Patton was a Christian but he also believed in reincarnation as fact and thought he had lived about six different past lives all warriors and soldiers. I’m sure some people thought he was quite crazy.

I’m sure Stonewall Jackson was a fine man and a great general but he’s not running in 2016.

I have liked Ted Cruz just fine. I don’t think the teddy bear and soccer ball thing with Glen Beck was smart or helpful. The dirty trick his campaign pulled on the Iowa voters regarding Carson was inexcusable. He could have redeemed himself had he fired the person(s) responsible but he didn’t. You don’t fire people when you approved what they did now do you? Seems he’s done some flip flops on the issue of immigration too.

You don’t really know what’s in Donald Trumps heart when it comes down to it. He owns a lot of buildings and companies but I haven’t seen where he owns any construction companies. I imagine he uses contractors so any illegals hired is really on them. He has to trust contractors to obey the laws. Should we blame Cruz personally for not vetting that little porn star in his commercial?

I don’t think Cruz will survive if the GOP goes after him and I don’t think he can get any cross over votes in the general election for the very fact that he is so far to the right. What’s Ted’s resume? A lawyer and a politician?

I’m sick of politicians and I’m really sick of lawyers, period. Seems that’s all that runs Washington. I want to give someone with a different perspective a chance. Maybe there will be a place for Ted in a Trump administration.

I don’t understand what the “Ping” and summary of the thread is for. Internal reasons or something or just a recap? I’ve seen it on other threads before as well.

Since you’re a Trump supporter, maybe you can tell me something. Trump says he’s going to “make America great again”. That starts from a premise that we were once great, but aren’t anymore. So when, in our history does Trump think we were great that he’s going to take us back to? Will it be the era of Madison and Jefferson? Maybe Lincoln? Maybe FDR, or LBJ, or Jimmie Carter? What exactly is he selling, and what’s it going to cost us?

I don’t have the power to channel Jesus or the candidates I like. I don’t speak with the “face of God”. I am sorry to disappoint.

I swear some people around here sound like they should be voting for Bernie. I’ve never heard so much anti-business hatred in my life on FR until Trump started running. What you described is spot on whether you run a business in Chicago or a small southern town, this is the game you have to play to get along. Bucking the system does nothing but jeopardize the jobs of people working for these companies. People that need their jobs and their paychecks. To me it’s an honorable thing to provide jobs for people.

The climate of young people is very hostile to successful businesses or people that is for sure.

Class envy is at an all time high, I don’t remember it being like this in my lifetime. One used to strive to become successful and be proud of such accomplishments, now people want you to be ashamed of success.

I don’t get it. I don’t get the anti-business environment, especially from the dems, they don’t realize that that hostile environment has forced their base (blue collar) out of work.

It has me scratching my head sometimes.

"Point by point"

Maybe in the fantasy realm you live in but here in the real world your rebuttal was an epic fail.

First you spend your first paragraph on a point I conceded. Yes Cruz got into those insider elitist colleges on merit. The point is not that he earned his elitist education. It was that he has an elitist insiders education. I guess that very important distinction was lost to you. How is Cruzs; education any different then say Obamas'? It isn't. Cruz and Obama have identical resumes. Do we really want to do that again? I think not.

Also lost to you, is that one can be a good insider. Jeff Session and Mile Lee for example. Not everyone contacted (insider) with government in Washington DC is a bad guy.

I do not think anyone is making the claim that Trump is not an "insider" in that he too has instant access to just about anyone he wants in DC. However he is an insider in open rebellion, ringing the alarm bells and pointing out the damage being done to the nation by that ruling elite.

Most of the issues shaping this campaign have been put on the table by Trump. Yeah maybe Cruz had a talking point about this or that but it was Trump that made immigration and globalism front and center issues. Trump drove (me too) insider Cruz to the right on issue after issue.

Cruz is now reduced to either running a way from or lying about his past. And his untruthfulness is being noticed by lots and of voters.

Born on third base? Lol, Your pathetic class envy is showing. Trump earned his money the old fashion way. He worked hard and he worked smart. Unlike your hero Cruz who has been sucking on the government titty most of his adult life.

Go Trump!

There is a YouTube video out there called ‘The Vicious Snake’ which is probably the most effective campaign ad out there right now, and one the networks will never allow on their licenses.

The networks should consider this, and then despair a bit, knowing that going around the drive-by’s is the reason their eventually going to be out of a job.

Were I one of the biggies, I’d seriously consider whacking my news division. I’d focus strictly on entertainment. Lord knows they are using their entertainment division to push their political agenda anyway.
