Ted Cruz's campaign pulled a recent ad after it was discovered that one of the actresses featured in it has also appeared in softcore porn films.
The 30-second ad, titled "Conservatives Anonymous," which launched Thursday, is set during a group therapy session in which conservative voters talk about being double-crossed by Marco Rubio. The video was pulled from YouTube on Thursday evening.
"Maybe you should vote for more than just a pretty face next time," the woman played by Amy Lindsay tells another group member. Lindsay's filmography includes titles such as "Animal Lust," "Co-Ed Confidential" and "Carnal Wishes."

UPDATE: In an interview with BuzzFeed, Lindsay said that she did not do hardcore porn and had appeared in other non-erotic films too. Lindsay said she is a Christian conservative who is deciding between Cruz and Donald Trump for president.

Both voters are as bad as each other, while one side ignores their own wrongs, but then points to the other.

Why would that matter? According to grania, the issue is that they were not using the real people that were supposed to be portrayed in the ad. Now I never saw the Cruz ad, so I don’t know what the actress was portraying. But according to the articles I read, she at least claims to be a conservative, so I suppose it is possible it was an accurate portrayal - I don’t know. But this is just another of those cases where many Trump supporters are trying to make a nothing issue into some scandal. I don’t think Trump actually picked out the footage in his ad, any more than I think Cruz interviews and hires the people that appear in his ads.
In my view there is a significant difference between going to Russia and hiring soldiers vs grabbing some stock video footage off a website.

She’s an actress in an ad. Now if there was a candidate who was married to a woman who liked to pose naked....oh wait!
My argument is that all political campaigns use actors in their ads, even Trump.
You do understand that Cruz isn’t hiring every person, setting up the lighting, getting behind the camera, doing the sound mixing, editing the final package, and doing the graphic work, right?
I mean, you do realize that the candidates themselves have media teams that do all of this, don’t you?
Or do you think Trump does it all himself?

I just wonder what your end goal is.
They weren’t paid actors. It was a photo to show soldiers. And, yeah, all campaigns have to be more careful about that stuff.
