I second that. The insults, Butt this, cultist that, and worse. And with a moniker like that. Wow, just Wow.
Dominionism, Pentacostal Dominionism.
Who cares? We don’t need to obsessively parse every word of what a candidate’s wife says in an off-the-cuff statement.
Does anyone yet know what Trump means by the “good” illegals or how many he’s going to let back in through the “expedited” return process he’s mentioned?
So, God is a lying politician?
Who knew?
BINGO! At least someone is paying attention! :-)
Third! These guys are a joke with their pathetic holier-than-thou routine.
Ronald Reagan was the first president I ever voted for and I don’t remember him ever using his personal faith in God to try and advance his political ambitions. He certainly didn’t call on all Christians to vote for him as the only solution to the country’s problems the way the Cruz campaign is doing. Ultimately, it’s going to take the Son of God, coming back to fix the mess this world is in. In the meantime, Ted Cruz needs to understand that if God intends to make him president, He doesn’t need his desperate tactics to do it.
This is BAT S*** crazy talk. The Cruz’s need to be medicated and shoved into rubber rooms.
Especially Tammy Faye.
We don’t care, Jedi Jones, we just don’t want you to be deceived into taking the Mark of the Beast, by believing a false prophet.
I have to wonder, the honesty? Sorry, but I do..
yep....
What candidate doesn’t say they are the only solution to the country’s problems? Losing ones?
TPM left that part out so I had no idea she added that part.
Someone who is Christian and understands the Constitution IS uniquely able to support the Judeo-Christian foundation of this nation without wandering into theocracy, which is what you KNOW the leftists (and some “Christians” here) are going to accuse a candidate of, unless they totally forsake that Judeo-Christian worldview.
Cruz, for instance, has said that we should accept CHRISTIAN refugees from Syria but not Muslim ones. He says that from a Constitutional understanding that immigration CAN be regulated on the basis of security issues, and he argues not that Christians should be let in because we are a Christian nation but because Christians have not exhibited the same dangers as Muslims have. So he is uniquely able to navigate the accusations of being a theocrat or un-Constitutional.
Except here on FR. He will never be able to navigate it here, because on FR people don’t care to talk in a reasoned way. They just want to make a sucker-punch for whoever will listen. Sad.
No, but whatever she meant she should have provided a biblical context for those unfamiliar with the terrain she was traversing.
Good thing the apostles didn’t feel that way.
Reagan would’ve had a hard time claiming he was the only candidate with faith in God backing him up because atheism and the shunning of “public displays” of religion wasn’t so rampant in politics back then. Cruz is in a different environment and this is a genuine distinguishing factor between him and other candidates.
Let him navigate it through the senate!
“There is no God but Conservatism, and Ted Cruz is itâs prophet.
Where have I heard something like that before?”
Oh that’s a fist bump Hooyah! :-)
That is an option, which he’s been doing.
Is the Senate deciding which refugees have a good reason to be admitted into the country? The Senate - in spite of Cruz’s best efforts - has rubber-stamped every godless, unConstitutional thing the Foreign Enemy Combatant-in-Chief has done to put us at the most critical EXISTENTIAL point this nation has ever been in.
I have not decided who I will vote for. I see strengths and weaknesses in both Cruz and Trump. I have defended both guys at various times. My point in even posting instead of just rolling my eyes at the pitiful state of FR is because I want people to be truthful. TPM has been involved in giant deceptions regarding issues I am personally involved in, and it upsets me that Freepers care so little for truth that they will swallow every misleading headline out there, as long as it serves their purpose. I’ve seen it with the Trump supporters and I’ve seen it with the Cruz supporters, and it stinks from every direction.
