How does driving employment down the toilet increase state revenue.

And exactly where is all this “new” money going to come from??? Are they going to force people traveling through to buy more stuff to pump those new dollars in? Eat more restaurant meals? Stay in more motel rooms longer?

If they are just going to force businesses to divide their existing income into larger pieces in order to pay each employee more, then the pie is going to be gone before the last employee gets any at all.

There is one thing Liberals have no concept of, Human Ingenuity.

A bit off topic, but an example in CA where I live.

The Rats here banned so called Assault Rifles like the AK and AR years ago. I had an AK-47 that was considered an Assault Rifle.

One day it wasn’t, next day it was. I had to Register it so I wouldn’t be charged with a Felony if they ever caught me with it. It bugged me being on the Assault Weapon Owner List, so sold it to a Retired Cop in New York.

When a CA Legal AR-15 was introduced that met the ridiculous design specification the Commies in Sacramento came up with, I decided to buy one.

They came up with a requirement that the Magazines on Semi Auto Rifles could only be removed using a “tool”.

Well, a tool was invented. It’s called a Bullet Button. You use the tip of a bullet to push in the recessed Button releasing the Magazine. Takes about a second with practice. Well, the Rat Legislature went nuts over this.

Now, they are working on Legislation requiring owners of CA Legal Rifles to Register them as Assault Weapons, so I’ll be right back where I started, except for owning my old AK-47 with 30 Round Magazines and a Bayonet Lug.

They will never give up. Even when you follow their stupid Laws, they change them to insure you are under their Thumb.

Wow, if $15.00/hour does all of that, just think what $150.00/hour would do; it would be ten times better for the economy, right? I wonder why the Democratic Socialists are playing such small ball?

It would move $6.5 billion out of some people’s pockets and into some other people’s pockets - and maybe buy you a few more votes.....

Has anyone in the NY Labor Dept. or Governor’s office ever had an economics course?

Raising the pay of the NY gov’t. workers (nearing 1 million people) also adds to the State’s pension commitments. More businesses will close and probably move to another State, putting more unemployed workers on the street and welfare. On and on and on....

Good idea NYC lead the way. Soon you will be San Francisco East.

Already is, as both prefer the LGBT crowd to normal people.

Guess they can provide pup tents to fill Central Park to house all of the homeless.

Why not raise to 50.00? Think of how much $ that would pump into the economy?

Short term gain, long term loss.

My fellow Freepers have beaten me to the punch on pretty much every aspect of this loonery already...only thing I can think to add is an old Indian saying :

“Only a government man would tell you that you can cut a foot off the top of your blanket, sew it to the bottom, and have a longer blanket.”

EVERY DAMN DOLLAR ‘created’ by this is merely reshuffled; probably to unions and Dem politicians.
