Rush: If Conservatism Is Your Only Priority, There Is No Choice Other Than Ted Cruz
The Rush Limbaugh Show ^ | 2/10/16 | Rush Limbaugh

Posted on 02/10/2016 2:17:21 PM PST by TBBT

If conservatism is your bag, if conservatism is the dominating factor in how you vote, there is no other choice for you in this campaign than Ted Cruz, because you are exactly right: This is the closest in our lifetimes we have ever been to Ronald Reagan.

***snip***

But for those of you that conservatism's the answer and conservatism is the way, you have no choice here. Ted Cruz has got to be your guy. There's nobody even close. Nobody.

Hey Jedi... ever notice a few weeks ago Rush said this ... Is Jeff Sessions the Only Conservative Left in Congress? After Session's passionate lone plea to Congress not to pass Omnibus

Cruz voted against Omnibus but was in his campaign mode so he did not have time to speak. So Session basically was the last vocal true conservative Senator left in Congress. Rush was right.

Nobody had any problems with Rush saying how conservative Sessions is (especially on immigration). What changed? All the Trump fans were elated to even be associated with Sessions hoping he was soon to endorse their team (with the hiring of one of Session's advisers).

http://www.breitbart.com/video/2015/12/18/limbaugh-rips-congressional-gop-leadership-for-omnibus-is-jeff-sessions-the-only-conservative-left-in-congress/

Now it is time to just throw Rush under the bus. Funny how that is.

LOL, a trade deficit isn’t “losing” money. That is a complete, economically ignorant myth propagated by the likes of Donny Tramp (he knows real estate, but not much else). It just means you’re buying more goods than you’re selling. BUYING. People don’t buy things unless they want them. It makes them happy. Protectionists want to steal away Americans’ right to buy the things they want. That’s not freedom, that’s big-government regulation. That’s why Sanders likes it too.

http://www.cato.org/publications/commentary/are-trade-deficits-really-bad-news

Nations do not trade with each other; people do. America’s trade deficit with the rest of the world is only the sum of the individual choices made by American citizens. Those choices, to buy an import or to sell an export, only take place if both parties to the transaction believe it will make them better off. In this way, the “balance of trade” is always positive.

The only reason the U.S. trade deficit is bad news is that so many people believe it is bad news.

Um that would be an embargo, not a tariff.

So was George Washington a conservative?

Jay Treaty.... Washington ratifies a trade treaty without Congressional input.

http://www.mountvernon.org/digital-encyclopedia/article/jay-treaty/

Was Washington a conservative? Well being there was no parties at his election. Hard to say. Washington was Washington.

What am I? I guess Duncan Hunter said it best. Free "FAIR" Trade.... and especially careful with countries that manipulate their currencies to gain an upper hand.

Lol, you make me laugh!

No where did I suggest that I look to Rush, or anyone else, to tell me who to vote for and why. I was clearly stating that apparently people were very shocked to hear him laud Rubio. It does NOT match with the persona that el rushbo is the wise man who sees all, knows all and can explain conservatism. If he needs to point to Rubio to explain conservatism, we have a problem.

Now please take your finger out of my face, and maybe take the suggestion on my page and try to be a bit more understanding that people do not all think alike. Thankfully!

Was that the norm? No... but Washington was not the only one that claimed not to be affiliated with a political party.

Another founding father present at all the important document signings in America put it this way...

"I am neither (democrat or republican)... I'm a Christocrat" -- Benjamin Rush

George Washington was definitely a conservative.

Position wise, yes, one would be hard pressed to suggest any founding father was liberal compared to today. Previous reply centered on political affiliation. Sorry if any confusion ensued.

So you agree then that protectionism is the conservative position and duty free trade and off shoring is the liberal position.

You implied that I did, that is why I posted to you what I wrote , responding to you here:

I don’t give a care who Rush/Levin/Hannity/NRO abccbsnbc et al, say they want in office.

Now please take your finger out of my face, and maybe take the suggestion on my page and try to be a bit more understanding that people do not all think alike. Thankfully!

Take your own advice FRiend and chill, we're on the same side here, remember?

According to the latest Quinipiac Poll on 2/5 he does much better than Trump in the general....

Take two GOP candidates. One most voters only heard about in the last few weeks, the other world famous and controversial for the last thirty years. Voters are going to be better disposed towards the unknown... until the media begins demonizing him.

By the time the left wing media is finished with Cruz he'll be a chimera of Elmer Gantry, Hitler and Charles Manson. A huckster-bigot-fanatic who, according to the media, is more dangerous than Barry Goldwater with a six shooter full of nukes in a Mexican standoff.

That this is complete nonsense, that Cruz is in reality an evangelical Christian and constitutionalist with respect for life and liberty, will do him no good if he can't get his message out over the deafening din of the massed media attack.

That's Trump's edge. He can change the narrative, he can fight the media and win, he's been doing it since he announced and he's going to keep doing it. That's why he can beat Hillary or Bernie. Cruz is a long shot. That's why Trump is my first choice.

It is worth noting that this thread is over 500 posts and it’s not a live thread about a debate but rather what Ruch Limbaugh said on his radio show (that has a following of between 15-20 million weekly listeners).
This election has churned up so much emotion because we have spent the last 7 years watching our beloved USA get destroyed from within!
We all know what hangs in the balance come November and one thing is for certain: America will NOT survive another democrat President!

Yes, he is eligible. No court will ever have the guts to claim he is not a natural born citizen. It's just the way it is. Sorry, bucko.

Obviously, you have NO clue what ‘natural born’ US citizen literally means. NO court or act of Congress can make anyone a ‘Natural born’ US citizen.

Cruz, that Harvard Law Schooled lawyer outed himself in that debate when asked by a moderator about his eligibility problems. Now what was Cruz’s answer?

How do I know? Because I was born in Germany, to two US citizen parents. I am NOT a natural born citizen... because I was NOT born on US soil.

Only two US citizen parents giving birth to their child on US soil makes a US natural born citizen. Canada has never been US soil, and Cruz’s pappy became a US citizen in 2005.

But hey deception is wide and deep.
