You can’t just redefine conservatism to suit your candidate Jo. Trump broke through the media PC hype but he is NOT conservative. You don’t advocate for new lgbt rules or gov’t paying for healthcare or touchback amnesty, etc. etc
I know you like him; everyone knows. But that does not make him conservative.
George Soros and Hugh Hefner also have made lots and lots of money, so that is not necessarily a sign of virtue. Nor is being a serial adulterer and bragging about it. Nor is building gambling casinos and hosting celebrity reality shows.
That unfavorable stat sort of reminds me of Yogi Berra’s quote:
“Nobody goes there anymore. It’s too crowded.”

It seems as though there are multiple strains of anti socialism vying for the name of conservatism.
He is my second choice, but his birther and Goldman Sachs issues are just a problem. Since when is it ok to have your wife collect $750K per year from them? Sounds like a huge conflict of interest for someone who claims to be a purist.
Also, if there is a 1% chance he would lose the birther case it is too much chance and he should know that. Seems Natural Born citizen means born naturally in America??
I was not a big birther on Obama, but you can be payback will be attempted.

I say keep letting them say that Trump is a conservative. It really gives them a boost in credibility. /s
Boiling it down, Rush is a D.C. party, country club insider and has been since the beginning. He was a Bush boy for God’s sake. It’s why he isn’t supporting the only non-establishment candidate on the stage.
Everything else is BS. So there ya have it.
Look within yourself first, don’t make judgement on others.

BOTH Trump and Cruz have positives and negatives. Trump is my #1, Cruz is my #2 and less happy about that daily as this thing goes one. At this point, I believe Trump will get more done than Cruz.
Can’t be, FReepers keep saying Rush is GOPe and hyping Rubio.

There are so many around here who listen to five minutes of a show and hear him say something complimentary about one of the candidates and suddenly somehow decide, “He’s endorsing Rubio!!!”
Rush has made it abundantly clear over the years that he doesn’t endorse ANYBODY in the primaries.

Rush is not a journalist, he is a radio talk show host who’s job is to entertain, give opinions and inform. Just beacuse yopu don’t happen to agree with his opinion is no reason to demonize him.
Not to mention it happens to be the truth. Cruz is obviously the most conservative candidate in the race and if you don’t see that clearly Trump has you so snake-fascinated you can’t think straight..
