George W. Bush stars in new radio ad for Jeb Bush
Washington Post ^ | 2/10/16 | Ed O'Keefe

The worst-kept secret among those tracking Jeb Bush's presidential campaign is that former president George W. Bush is about to take on a much more prominent role.

Few details of what the 43rd president will do exactly are yet known, but he is expected to campaign with his younger brother at some point in the coming days across South Carolina, where the Bush name remains revered and popular among GOP voters.

Palmetto State voters getting in the car on Wednesday may hear a new radio ad bought and paid for by Jeb Bush's presidential campaign. Aides wouldn't immediately say where and when and on what kinds of radio stations the message will air, but it's expected to be part of a long-planned radio ad campaign targeting primarily conservative talk radio stations.

The mockery is strong in this one. I kinda’ like it. Full disclosure- I put a check mark by Perot, and GW a couple of times.

GWB and Martha are Jeb’s secret weapon.

How come we don’t hear more about those great times the Bush’s gave us?

Ma Bush’s campaigning helped her son rise... to fourth.

I guess that’s what they call a win up in Kennebunkport.

.....where the Bush name remains revered and popular among GOP voters.

I for one certainly don't revere that name. I admit I voted for grandpa and W, but what W did and my later realization of the huge, huge travesty he imposed on us as a free nation with creation of the DHS and TSA removed all doubt about how I ashamed I am of him and "read my lips" grandpa.

ABSOLUTELY SILENT for nigh on 7 years of the worst tyrant this nation ever saw with Obama, and he now has the temerity to promise to get out and campaign for that Mexican brother of his?

If I could say it, I'd say "N-word, Please!"

Don't even tell me about no damn Bush!

Couldn’t agree more. Never stood up for Americans as Obama tried to destroy us. A pox on Bush.

A little reminder from 2009, courtesy of CBS....

“President Bush will leave office as one of the most unpopular departing presidents in history, according to a new CBS News/New York Times poll showing Mr. Bush’s final approval rating at 22 percent.”

George W. did his best, handling many things well and some things poorly, as is common. However, his mismanagement of the financial “crisis” in his last few months wiped out the last vestige of my respect for him.

Sorry, but “Mommy says I’m ready, and so does my big brother” is not as inspiring as Jeb might hope. His only way to get the nomination is the same path Hillary is using: cheat.

“The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything.”

So W. is going to campaign for Jeb?

That's like AIDS campaigning for Cancer.

I think the Bush family are good folks. That said, why do they think it is necessary that we elect another one? I am tapped.

I guess that’s what they call a win up in Kennebunkport.

To be specific, they're calling it a "virtual tie for third." lol

Sorry Dubya, you never stood up for your policies, just like your Dad. You two thought you were above the fray, and that attitude resulted in giving us the Clintons and the Obamas. Thanks for nothing!
