WATTERS: YOU SEEM LIKE A GREAT GUY TO WATCH THE GAME WITH BUT YOU DON'T DRINK.

TRUMP: I'M NOT A DRINKER.

WATTERS: WHY IS THAT?

TRUMP: I NEVER REALLY WANTED TO DRINK. I NEVER ACQUIRED THE TASTE, NEVER LIKED THE TASTE. I'VE SEEN INSTANCES, EVEN WITHIN MY OWN FAMILY, WHERE PEOPLE DRINK TOO MUCH AND IT'S NOT A GOOD THING, AND I DON'T LIKE IT.

That explains his superior energy. Smoking and alcohol degrades our bodies a lot. But it is a slow process so we just do not realize it.

I don’t drink; like Donald I never acquired a taste for it. All alcoholic beverages taste like some type of nasty medicine to me. I don’t eat or drink stuff that tastes nasty whether it is good or bad for me. In many segments of our society however being a non-drinker often causes one to be ostracized and actually limits your social contacts.

It will also lead to Alzheimers. Think about it.

“That explains his superior energy. Smoking and alcohol degrades our bodies a lot. But it is a slow process...”

Mormons don’t smoke or drink alcohol or caffeinated beverages, and most of them (certainly those who practice) remain very healthy to a good old age.

Maybe not football, but definitely WWF wrestling! Donald Trump bodyslams, beats and shaves Vince McMahon at Wrestlemania XXIII

I think he stayed focused on making money and winning in the markets, while lots of NYC corporate people plowed into the cocaine.

And are probably a terrific specimen of a mature human... those vices DO catch up sooner or later, so best not to start, tho I did both in my youth and took forever to quit smoking. Admire those of you who never fell prey.

You got that right. If I had known I was going to last all of these 116 years back when I was 12, I would never have started whoring, drinking, and smoking...

The form of demetia most frequently associated with alcohol is actually Korsakoff Syndrome. But as you say alcohol also appears to have some links with Alzheimer’s.

Neither Jimmy Carter or George W. Bush drank, and Jimmy Carter refused to serve alcohol in the White House. I am quite sure that both felt the same way about drugs as about drinking. Ronald Reagan was a nonsmoker, although he did smoke in his younger years. When he decided to quit smoking, he used Jelly Belly jelly beans as a substitute. He used to keep a bowl of them on his desk, and he would give jars of Jelly Bellies as a White House gift when he was President. Trump would not be the first, and it would be his credit. I understand that Hillary, however, is a heavy drinker. It is rumored also that the Clintons were (are?) heavy cocaine users.

You are blessed if caps in a transcript is your biggest issue.   ;-)
