Conservatives in Paul Ryan's district: If he makes it through his primary, vote for somebody else!!

Posted on 02/08/2016 9:13:12 AM PST by cotton1706

The time has come for desperate measures against the Oligarchy.

We must continue to remove the heads of the republican establishment until they begin to listen to the American people.

Eric Cantor has been removed. John Boehner has been removed. Kevin McCarthy has been prevented. And there are already rumblings of a primary challenge to Speaker Paul Ryan!

Primary elections in the State of Wisconsin will be held on August 9, 2016.

We have between now and then to find a candidate, fund him or her, and propel them to victory over Ryan. However, we know the Establishment and its donors will go all out to protect Ryan, as they did for Mitch McConnell, who is now safely ensconced in the Senate Majority Leader position.

The Establishment will work to destroy anyone who dares to run against Ryan in a primary. And then they will say "too bad, republicans, it's Ryan or the democrat."

The Establishment can protect Paul Ryan from conservatives in a primary, but they cannot protect Paul Ryan from conservatives in a general election!

Conservatives in Paul Ryan's district should be prepared to vote against him should he make it to the November ballot, either by withholding their votes or by voting for some other candidate, even the democrat, to weaken or defeat him.

Let us remember how loyal the Establishment has been to the Republican Party. Remember John Warner endorsing Tim Kaine, or Richard Lugar endorsing Michelle Nunn, or Dede Scozzafava endorsing Bill Owens, or Bill Bolling endorsing Terry McCauliffe. Remember the republican legislators who endorsed Sam Brownback's democrat opponent in Kansas and remember the Establishment donors who said that they would vote for Hillary if Trump or Cruz is the Republican nominee. Let us remember all these things as we remove Paul Ryan from office!

Voting for the Democrat IS the lesser of two evils, if it means firing a RINO from his leadership position.

I agree. Somehow the RINOs have got to be weeded out.

I would vote Democrat if I was in his district. I hate traitorous RINOS enough to hold my nose and vote Dem to get rid of the filth.

Also, I know 5 people are running against McCain in his primary. I am sure McCain set it up so he could squeek by dividing up the Anti Rino vote. I would vote against McCain in the general if he gets the GOP line.

I see Fox News have McCain’s dopey daughter Meagan working for them. She is so stupid if it wasn’t for nepotism she would never get a job.

Ryan is responsible for funding 0bamaCare and Executive Amnesty.

Ryan loves them.

Ryan railroaded the caucus FOR OBAMA.

Absolutely. Who is his primary opponent? Can we donate? Help? Same with his Dem opponent. Ryan is America’s enemy.

Diluting the primary vote is how Lindsey keeps getting into office.

I've been saying that for years. Except x535. Everyone incumbent. At least every Repub incumbent. That is the ONLY thing that is going to get the GOPe's and RNC's attention. Otherwise they will do every election what they've done to us for years. Fire them all. Replace with non-professional politicians.

The Republicans laugh at us because they pull the same ruse every election, they always get away with it, we always fall for it. Like Lucy pulling the football out from under Charley Brown. And then in the splendor of their palaces in Washington, they laugh at the rubes.

You don't have to think back that far: EVERY REPUBLICAN lied to us in 2014. Multiple, serial lies.

I agree. Vote third party, or a write-in or not at all.

If it is Ryan or the Democrat then let it be the Democrat. Same with McCain. If conservatism is not going to work for conservatives then it should not work for the country clubbers.

Um, NO.

Paul Ryan is my congressman. I know Paul Ryan. Like many of us in his district, I talk to him pretty frequently. He is still the ideological conservative he always was. Do not confuse disagreement over tactics with disagreement over goals.

Instead of attacking my congressman, perhaps you should attack your own, Cotton. If the Massachusetts delegation were even remotely as conservative as the Wisconsin delegation, Congress would be a much better place.

“He is still the ideological conservative he always was.”

Really?? Here’s your congressman’s voting record. Conservative enough for you??

Ryan (WI) - 66% (Average) - 56% (CReview) - 58% (Heritage) - 63% (Freedomworks) - 69% (CFG) - 84% (ACU)

“Instead of attacking my congressman, perhaps you should attack your own, Cotton.”

I vote against my congressman every two years. Will you, ever??
