Kellyanne Conway: Cruz, Trump 'Anti-establishment Tag Team'
breitbart.com ^ | 2/8/16 | Dan Riehl

Pollster and President of the Sen. Ted Cruz-aligned Super PAC "Keep the Promise," Kellyanne Conway spoke with Breitbart News Daily host Stephen K. Bannon today about the pending New Hampshire voting and the Republican primary going forward.

"I think, frankly, without Trump you don’t have Cruz, without Cruz you wouldn’t have Trump," said Conway. "They are the anti-establishment tag team," she added.

Conway pointed out how even socially conservative establishment candidates like Sen. Marco Rubio can't get significant traction with social conservatives due to their softness on illegal immigration. "The amnesty yoke is around his neck," said Conway, speaking of Rubio.

Conway made the case that Senator Ted Cruz is running a fifty-state campaign, and while many Conservatives who do well in Iowa, often skip New Hampshire and move on to South Carolina, instead. "What’s happening with Ted Cruz is, he is very different from candidates who have won the Iowa focusing on Evangelicals, Tea Party or very conservative voters. He won a broad-based coalition last week. He beat Rubio by two points among 17 to 29 year olds."

"He and Trump almost tied on immigration," she added. "He lost to Trump on the issue of who can handle the economy better coming out of Iowa but Cruz won on National Security / terrorism and government spending - two very different issues."

I saw her on one the news shows talking about the campaign, they did not identify her as being involved in the Cruz campaign, just as a GOP Pollster. Very disingenuous. I remember her from years back, she hasn't aged well and is no longer ingenue she once was.

"I think, frankly, without Trump you don't have Cruz, without Cruz you wouldn't have Trump," said Conway

I think I understand what she is trying to say, but she is stating it poorly.

Today, though, if either were to drop out, the other would be the slam-dunk nominee.

What the hell is she talking about? Find Cruz’s “Can He Win” powerpoint and you’ll see how Cruz built his whole campaign around running against Bush, Paul, Rubio, et al - without any consideration for Trump. The idea that they’re codestined somehow is just made-up crap.

And, Trump’s last name is Trump, not Trumpandcruz.

Kellyanne wants a two-man race to pull Cruz’ fat out of the fire.

There is no dang “tag-team” against the Establishment between TRUMP and Cruz, when Cruz both supports the Cheap Labor Express boys and has never retracted his sentence for legalization of ALL Illegal Invaders. (Only captured felons.)

Cruz quotes federal law ONLY as it applies to felons.
Cruz supports deporting only felons, who federal law says are “caught”.
Cruz will not discuss DEPORTATION of those not “caught”.
Cruz wants endless discussion on every controversy with Congress.
Cruz knows Congress and the Senate are pro-Amnesty.
Cruz knows Wall Street and Chamber of Commerce want Amnesty.
Cruz donors are back channels for Congress, Senate, CoC, WS.

Cruz is the finest manipulator of legalese stump speaker ever. It is working. He is Amnesty and Gang of Eight, but since it did not work after Cantor was canned, he separates from it but never denies Amnesty for anyone, but felons who are “caught”.

A shifty guy.

EXXXXXactly!!

Cruz has never actually SAID that he will DO anything.

He speaks in terms like this:

I will “oppose”,..... I will “support” .......

WHY?

Because he knows where Congress is, where WS is, where CoC is, and he knows AMNESTY is a slam dunk, stalled only because Cantor was canned.

Cruz knows very well who owns the influence for the CHEAP LABOR EXPRESS, but he must get elected first.

He is one deceptive son of a gun, pardon my French.

A curious choice for Cruz, to say the least. You cannot GET more GOP Establishment than Conway. Then again ALL of Cruz’ advisers are Bush alums.

AFAIK, Ted didn't hire Rick Wilson, or anybody that was involved with Thad Cochran's victory against Chris McDaniel.

Considering he worked for Bush's election campaigns, I'm sure he made a number of friends.

Now if Ted hired Turdblossum, there'd be a problem.
