Zodiac Killers Identity MAY be......The BTK killer.
SOTT ^ | 2/6/16 | Chris Summers

Ms McGath has been studying links between the two killers for two years, especially the letters they both wrote, and she told Daily Star Online : "There are just so many similarities between Zodiac and BTK."

She said the authorities ruled out a link because of a "general alibi" assuming Rader was serving in the US air force in Japan at the time of Zodiac's crimes. But she said he could easily have travelled back to California to carry out the killings and she points out in her book how close many of the killings were to air force bases.

She lists dozens of similarities in handwriting styles, phrases used and military terminology, as well as phrases like "consternation" and "glorification" which are unique to Lutheran sermons. Rader was president of his local Lutheran church. Both killers referred to "the game" and "hunting" and both used the same ruse to try to calm victims.

This sounds pretty farfetched. But if Rader’s military records place him in northern California at the time of the Zodiac murders, it might be worth a closer look.

Interesting theory. I lived in San Francisco at the time and seem to recall that the killer’s footprints were made by someone wearing “wing-walker” aircraft mechanic’s shoes.

I’ve heard theories suggesting that D.B. Cooper and the Zodiac were one and the same.

People like Rader are the reason we must always have a death penalty.

I lived in the bay area at the time and I was afraid to take out the trash at night.

A good friend of mind wrote a book about BTK. I’d like to see this possibility investigated further.

I bet we can get someone to say one killer was Trump and the other was Cruz.

I say we study them for awhile, but this story makes no sense. There’s just no way Rader was the Zodiac.

Didn’t the BTK killer tell the cops everyone he murdered?

if Rader's military records place him in northern California at the time of the Zodiac murders, it might be worth a closer look.

Not worth looking at because:

People have considered this possibility, as well as the possibility of Zodiac being several other serial murderers. Steve Hodel, an LA detective who wrote a book claiming his father was the murderer of the Black Dahlia and several other women in LA in the 1940's, even tried to make the case in a later book that Zodiac was also his dad.

Most of the people who know about these cases believe that any resemblance between BTK and Zodiac was a result of Rader's lack of originality: he copied some things from Zodiac. That's all.

This is completely incorrect. I know a bit about this, and lived in the area (of the SF Bay Area), actually the actual guy wore a Zodiac watch and from his cyphers he was messed up on LSD and probably had links to the Process Church which had a chapter in the Haight Ashbury, but the Zodiac himself probably lived in Vallejo. Anyway, it is a long story, this isn’t the place for it but I strongly feel this “Zodiac found” story is self-serving and incorrect besides.

In the cyphers, the Zodiac wrote LSD in one of the messages. He was deranged, couldn’t pick up women but went bezerker when seeing a young girl alone with another guy, and dropping acid on top of being mental. He started killing girls early in age out of rage that they didn’t connect with him due to his empathy and odd psychotic nature. No kidding, like we didn’t know. There is no great mystery about his killings, there are more out there the same. But this latest theory as “this is the guy” is not THE guy. Just another killer freak, but not the Zodiac.

Yea, as I said I lived in the area at that time too (Livermore), was a teen then and everyone was scared of that psycho.
