I just had a thought (vanity)

I have been a consistent nay sayer when ever the idea of Hillary Clinton facing justice comes up.

I have been harshly critical of the house committees and their inability to bring about any action on the email server or Benghazi. I am down to my last nerve on this whole affair taking so damn long.

BUT...

Ford gave Nixon a pardon for any charges that may ever be brought in regards to Watergate. Obozo could do the same for Hillary on his last day in office.

He pardons her now, she can’t be President.

She gets elected...just let’s say she gets it.

Obama pardons her, she by all intents would need to step down as she can’t hold public office.

Only way Obama pardons her is if she isn’t elected.

...thoughts?

Barring an earlier prosecution, and another way to stop any Obama pardon, form your keyboard to God's ears.

"He pardons her now, she can’t be President."

Whoa, I didn't know that. I thought a pardon was a sort of absolution and it would make her free basically start over with a clean slate and get right back in the game if people would support her.

See post 21, if the Democrats had any real courage they’d have her suspend her campaign.

My 2 cents is that somehow “they” will find a way to get Cruz on the ballot. Hillary will have standing with his ineligibility so will sue at the last minute if he gets the votes. That will hold the election up for who knows how long. The Kenyan once said he would be POTUS for 8-10 years so this will give him the two extra years to do his evil deeds. The supremes will eventually declare Cruz ineligible and crown Her Hineyness POTUS. That gives unemployed Obama his chance at the UN. At the end of Hillary’s first term, she appoints him to SCOTUS.

Say bye-bye to America the Free. All hail, Obama! It was Allah’s will and all that horse hockey.

I can’t imagine what their back room conversations must be like these days. Surely, it had the (D) population right down the middle and in my opinion that can only help the rest of us as long as the (R)s slow down on the mud slinging.

I’ve heard she can. That’s part of why I started this thread - so I can learn from smarter folks.

Interesting article. Thank you for the correction.

The details of the Petraeus case are far more serious and obvious crimes than the email-related things that can actually be pinned on Hillary at this point. She's not close to needing to do a plea deal.

I'm not sure that Obama really likes Hillary very much. The main thing Obama would be panicking about is that Obamacare will be taken out if a Republican wins the presidential election.

Hillary has done various things that play into her already-existing tainted image. This is hurting her election chances, but I don't think it's going to add up to a criminal charge, especially by November, and this is not just because she is somehow being protected.

Hillary has actually done far worse. That’s why the FBI has 150 agents assigned to the criminal case. Have no doubt a retired senior FBI manager said it was criminal.

Petraeus was able to plead to a misdemeanor. What’s been leaked so far by the FBI is far worse. If she was convicted of the security breaches and the sentencing was not consecutive, it would probably result in a prison term of hundreds of years. The public doesn’t understand how serious the potential charges are.

They will understand the details about the bribery and tax evasion.

Rumor

Retired

Did Hillary intentionally take Top Secret code word material and hand it over to another person with no security clearance? No, she has only been accused of setting up a system similar to the system used by her two predecessors (which was legal), that may have allowed a very small number of emails to be stored which were later found to have possibly needed to be classified.

Hillary has a problem.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2016/01/13/hillary_clintons_coming_legal_crisis_129293.html

You have to wonder why the rumors popped out and refuted her excuses.

the other issue is the server was originally set up for her husband after he left office.

The kickers will be the evidence of the bribes (play for pay), the laundering of money through the foundations and the subsequent tax evasion.

I think we need an amendment to limit the President's pardon power to specific offenses. Blanket pardon's are for those with something to hide.

This was not challenged, which was a mistake. I would hope that does not earn the value of "precedent."

On the positive side, the enumeration of the time frame covered for past "non capital" offences was a good start.

Gen. Petraeus was indicted for the way he treated classified material, but what he did appears to have been much more serious, keeping a large volume of top secret material unsecured and then actively sharing it.

Hello?

That is precisely what Ms Pantsuit did!

Past offenses, perhaps.
Future offences? Not a prayer!!

Not correct.
Read the pardon declaration elsewhere in this thread.

It covered only PAST "crimes," carefuly circumscribed.
