The NFL, with it’s recently discovered respect for women, is going to allow that to be sung in half-time? They just don’t get it.

More than likely I’ll take a bathroom break during half time. Not interested in the least in any of the “entertainment” or the “super stars”. I mean, lady gagme is gonna do the National Anthem. I certainly hope she does it with respect but you never know with these asshats.

The only thing I found socially redeeming in those lyrics was the formatting.

To think that humans have been capable of producing intricate Classical masterpieces and now are churning out trash such as this lends credence to a sort of reverse Darwinism.

That’s the Five Star French Haute Cuisine for blacks, apparently. I hear that restaurant more than any other on Maury and Jerry when someone speaks of ‘fine’ dining. Hahaha

Was the person who wrote that insane, or just feebleminded?

Thousands of years of wars, disease, building civilizations.

Centuries of invention, improvements, technological breakthroughs.

All to have some shallow, useless trash fling crap in our face.

Same here - never got into half-time "festivities".

Lady Gaga's commercial with Tony Bennett gives me some hope that she'll do right by the National Anthem - was surprised to see how pretty she can be and how sweet her pipes are for just plain singing.

It is entirely understandable. To be popular in that culture (largely, that one only) you have to speak to the level of the listener. Limited skills in any measurable parameter that has to do with intelligence. It’s the culture of the dollah.

LOL! Just as long as she doesn’t wear a meat suit, it may be good.

What a bunch of grouchy old codgers we turned out to be.

If we had a Free Republic in 1957, I can't help but think a bunch of us older ones would be sitting around lamenting the decline of society due to those "leather jacketed hoodlums" and song lyrics like "Be Bop A Lula she's my baby; Be Bop A Lula I don't mean maybe" and "Tutti frutti, oh rutti, Wop bop a loo bop a lop ba ba! Got a girl, named Sue, she knows just what to do..."

Who knew we were going to grow up and be so square, just like our parents before us.

I didn’t know squat about her before I saw her role in American Horror Story: Hotel. I think she did a very credible job. She showed talent for things other than singing.
