For those that weren’t on the Debate Thread last night - there was a huge and series on and off discussion (and argument) over eminent domain and how Trump did/didn’t use it. I believe it was on that thread (possibly after the debate was over) that someone brought up that the Bush family used eminent domain in Texas for the Texas Stadium when W owned the Rangers. Trump just brought I up on Stephy’s show and said he just learned about it about 5 minutes before. Heh Heh
Not listening much but Marco on with Stephy and doing his normal fast talking. Said we have to secure the border first (sure, like it means/believes that). Was dissing on Trump a bit about foreign policy - said something about Trump’s response to the question on North Korea last night and that their leader was a lunatic. Quite a few on the debate thread thought Trump’s answer re NK was good - he brought up how China needs us and how China can control NK.
In 2003, when I first moved to Delaware, it was just the church, the rectory and a little house building used for the office. Now we have a huge Parish Life Center and a Religious Ed building, and, of course, the new organ.
I got to mass about 9:15 cause Todd kept emailing us and begged us to all please come on time as we were going in choir loft...yada, yada. So I got early and they let me go up before the 8:30 am mass ended....odd.
It was a bit of a climb for me to get up those steps, bearing in mind I got circulation problems in my legs but can mostly get around okay.
So my friend, Diane Feinstein, was the Cantor and darn if they were only at communion when the choir started arriving. Diane Feinstein is having a hell of a time leading this early mass with no so enthusiastic singers. So what the hell, the choir was already there and about five of us but we began to sing with her. The congregation was a bit surprised and looked up, smiles. Todd was then playing the organ on the church altar but once the choir joined Diane Feinstein it was really pretty.
Myself is NOT a solo singer but I got a pretty good voice so long as the song falls within my four-note range. But put me in a choir and I am a very important part. I am a choir singer is what I’m saying here.
BTW me and Diane Feinstein drove up to Wilmington last week, insert smile here, and we spent much of the time singing. She is a soprano and she IS a solo singer, while I am alto, tenor and bass if need be.
With those voices in the choir behind me I sang out loud and strong in my front row seat (it’s just me and the conductor in the front by how Todd has this arranged, this might have to change) and that is about as close as I will ever get to singing solo, in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.
Heh.
Exciting day here at St. Jude the Apostle on Tulip Drive in Lewes, Delaware pastored by Father Flowers.
As for naming the organ, in the church bulletin this week, I’m thinking....well first, did y’all know that St. Jude is the patron saint of impossible causes? Of course you know of St. Jude’s children hospital, right? Same saint.
And folks getting this organ was about as impossible as anything could get, taking two Pastors to finally obtain, took us eight years to finally get the thing.
So here’s my name for our church organ....”Saint Jude’s Impossible Cause”.
Did you know that Kasich's father--thr Kung Fu mailman--taught him all those moves, which are learned slowly by sorting mail every day for xxx years. (Kasich has never told us what xxx is).

I like the name you selected and St. Jude is a great saint. I couldn’t remember who the patron saint of music is so looked it up on bing (I don’t Google) - it’s Saint Cecelia - could always call the organ Cecelia

Government needs to tell ALL carriers in a given state that they MUST participate in the HRP.
I'd also like to see MediCaid privatized. It would be regular private insurance for truly needy folks, it would have a sliding-scale subsidized-premium as their income rises. Strict Monitoring.
This would also require a co-pay and would pay providers commercial rates, not pennies on the dollar like now.
The unsubsidized premium rate would be higher than that available to the general public, so folks would jump out of it, once they've "arrived".
All carriers in a given state would be required to participate in this as well.
Not sure - they were at a desk overlooking the debate center (it was empty) - IIRC Stephy referred to you said this last night, so possibly this a.m.
All the candidates were in the spin room after the debate last night - it would have been rather late after they finished there. Saw Trump in the spin room - Melania was with him.
BTW - if you all didn’t get to see Jesse Watters interview Trump yesterday, it was pretty good - they’ll probably replay it on FNC again today.
