MSNBC's feisty debate between Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton received high marks from political observers, but not high ratings from ordinary viewers.

It was the lowest-rated debate of the 2016 election cycle by far, according to preliminary Nielsen data. The debate had a 3.3 household rating in Nielsen's metered markets.

They all hold the same positions. And there’s nothing any of them can tell us that we don’t already know about them. So why waste any time watching?

“. But the channel heavily promoted the debate on Wednesday and Thursday. “

Bwahahahahhhhah! If you only have three viewers and you heavily promote to them, the best you are going to get is
still just three viewers.

Just how Hillary likes it. The less she is seen in public, the better for her campaign.

The Democrats have a big problem outside their base and that is a big enthusiasm interest gap. Even in Iowa the GOP blew away the Democrats in turnout in the primary. Also their two candidates have some big flaws that are even bigger than any of the GOP candidates. Clinton is the corruption candidate and its undeniable that she simply sounds mean and comes off as it. Sanders benefits in favorability because most people still don’t know who he is and his history. His critical flaw is that he is at heart Barack Obama on steroids.

Because only Martin O’Malley had the raw charisma to bring in the viewers.

She generated plenty of material with her facial expressions, raised pointed hand and raising screeching voice for dozen of ads during last nights debate.

When I turned the channel and saw that I said oh man this is gold. She comes across as the evil Ex Wife or Mother in Law.

RE: Probably because Trump decided to skip this one...

Let’s not forget that the Iowa debate without Trump had higher ratings than the previous debate where Trump participated.

The moderators and both candidates were in complete agreement on all major issues. It was a Mutual Admiration society.

I was obviously making a joke & I’m definitely NOT a Trump guy, but (not comparing apples to oranges or FNC with FBC debates) the previous FNC debate with Trump had higher viewership that the FNC debate that he punked out on.

Aw, why such low ratings? I thought it was cool. At one point I thought actual daggers were really going to fly out of Hillary’s eyes! Also I was sick and drugged, and I started to want to live in Berntopia, where everything is free!

It was great fun. I’d give it five stars for Hillary’s “I Am Picturing Your Lifeless Body Under A Fort Marcy Cannon” stare alone!
