Jeb knows he’s a loser. The GOPe is just keeping him in to try to destroy Trump. If they bring Trump down, Cruz is in their line of fire too.

The problem is that his name Jeb in Slovak (and most Slavic languages) means Faaaaak. (pronounced yeb)
