Trump Leads Cruz by 16 Points in Alabama – 37-21%

Donald Trump has to be happy seeing the latest results out of Alabama, where he is currently beating Ted Cruz by 16 points. Though the state only awards 47 delegates on Super Tuesday, if things stay about the same as they are now, he stands to gain a lot of delegates from the Yellowhammer State. Of course, things can change quickly, as the nation saw first-hand in Iowa on Monday night. Marco Rubio had a surprising surge to a strong third place finish, clearly positioning himself as the establishment candidate of choice.

I was a conservative Democrat! Heck everyone was before 1970. Republicans were non existent except in the urban areas.

Be careful where one treads. Guess you are one of those holier than thou Yankees.

Most people don’t realize that Wallace ran as a liberal his first time and was soundly beaten.

Next time he ran as a segregationist and won. Wallace was liberal in a lot of ways. He supported the teachers union and education in general.

There was one area in which I think he genuinely was conservative and that is the 10th amendment. The Federal government made a mockery of it during his time and since.

So stupid how the south is proportional but New York, Pennsylvania, California, New Jersey are winner takes all.............you know that is why we end up with moderates. Everyone says it is the media, GOP, and other excuses but it is the southern proportional delegates that causes us to lose.

McConnell?

It’s a shame that he doesn’t have deep pockets like Shelby to carpet bomb the airwaves ad nauseum with ads about how he “stands up against 0bama”.

13 A Republican conservative has been hitting Senator Shelby for voting to confirm Hillary for Secretary Of State. Shelby has been advertising how he has fought against Hillary. Shelby is getting pretty old.

U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) = 69 years old
U.S. Sen. Richard Shelby (R-AL) = 81 years old

2015 ACU Rating 2014 Rating Lifetime Years
Sessions 96 88 94.33 18
Shelby 88 76 76.78 36

I voted against Shelby in the last 2 primaries and will do so again. Lifetime Rating Years Of Service

Don’t worry Cruz guys and gals. He’s going to do just fine in AL (and the rest of the South). He is strong and well organized. He has organization in every county in TN, for example. When it get to the SEC Primaries, Trump’s lead will melt away quicker than a Dixie frost!
