Lenard Hill 3d shot himself Feb. 4 to stop foreclosure on his land 20 minutes before its scheduled sale.
The life insurance he had hoped would pay off the debts was insufficient, however, and the land was rescheduled for auction today.
Norma Foerderer, a spokesman for Mr. Trump, said, ''Trump phoned down to the auction block and stopped it and he guaranteed that he would assist them in this thing.''

I heard about this before. It’s a very nice story, and shows that beneath all the bluster and rabblerousing, there are times when The Donald shows great compassion and empathy for others. He’s much more than the 2-dimensional character on The Apprentice. No doubt there are many other instances of him doing similar things over the decades.
Too bad he didn’t jump in before the guy shot himself.
I agree he needs to quit obsessing when things don't go his way or find a way to right a wrong, if one. But it must be an ingrained trait. It's worrisome if he wants my support.

The story about Trump helping a guy with his mortgage for changing Trumps limo tire was false according to Snopes.
What has Ted Cruz ever done for anybody except Ted Cruz? He doesn’t even live up to his preaching about supporting his church. Cruz is what used to be known as a Flim Flam Man.
The article was written in 1986. So, when the article says "today," it was referring to whatever date it was published in 1986.
