Donald Trump: 'Ted Cruz gave us Obamacare'
CNN ^ | February 4, 2016 | By Jeremy Diamond

Donald Trump on Wednesday leveled a bold accusation at one of his chief rivals for the Republican nomination: "Ted Cruz gave us Obamacare."

"He's the one that got Justice Roberts onto the United States Supreme Court," Trump added.

While Cruz vocally supported Roberts' nomination at the time, he was not yet a U.S. senator and therefore could not vote to confirm Roberts to the Supreme Court.

I do not know if he has jumped the shark, but I am starting to think there are going to be too many bridges burned by the time the General gets here. By September, it probably will be too late for the voters to unite and support one of these candidates who savaged their favorite during the primary season.

When did Cruz say Trump was responsible for Kelo?

Supports it, yes.

Same as Trump supports Repealing and replacing Obamacare...with Obamacare.

Yep, Trump never lies. Just like he was never pro partial birth, never pro Canadian health care, never pro progressive taxes.

What did he say yesterday? Doesn't matter, old news.

Trump is our savior!

Independent thought, it's just not for Trump supporters.

Actually even reading this thread it goes to show that some freepers will not stop their senseless attacks on the other guy or voters.

I said earlier how both camps are to blame and then one freeper told me they agreed and then went on how the other guy lies all the time and their guy tells the truth. Some people are so blindly by their own hatred right now they are making themselves look completely stupid and immature.

Trump supports Universal healthcare.

So in his opinion Cruz did a good thing in voting for Roberts. Although he couldn’t vote.

Nearly every conservative supported Roberts nomination.

Might as well say Reagan gave us Obamacare by putting Kennedy on the Court.

I’ll grant you that Trump has the best position on immigration but I don’t think he’s electable. And I’m not sure I trust him on a lot of other issues. The next question is whether Cruz is electable. Still thinking about that. If your candidate is not electable then it really doesn’t matter what his positions are.

Trump had zero to do with the Kelo decision.

I supported Roberts as a nominee. I’m not happy with how it has turned out, but there was nothing in his record that would predict how he has voted. That happens.

I suspect Roberts is better than Trump’s sister, though...

“Trump was asked for his Supreme Court picks and said, “I have a sister who’s on the court of appeals, and she’s fantastic.”

Halperin asks, “Would she be a good Supreme Court justice?”

“Oh, I think she’d be phenomenal, she’d be one of the best,” Trump said.

He went on to say that would have to be ruled out “at least temporarily,” but did not explain why she would have to be ruled out or why he might rule her out only temporarily.

In his book on the culture of death (p. 59) National Review’s Ramesh Ponnuru has written about Berry and her extreme support for partial-birth abortion. At NRO’s The Corner he noted:

She called a New Jersey law against it a “desperate attempt” to undermine Roe v. Wade. It was, she wrote, “based on semantic machinations, irrational line-drawing, and an obvious attempt to inflame public opinion instead of logic or medical evidence.” It made no difference where the fetus was when it “expired.”

So, Trump’s sister does not see a partially delivered newborn as worthy of legal protections, and yet he thinks she would make a “fantastic” and “phenomenal” Supreme Court justice.”

https://stream.org/donald-trump-pro-abortion-sister-phenomenal-supreme-court-justice/

So: The right of abortionists to make a child “expire” by partially extracting her from the womb, sticking scissors in the back of her head, vacuuming out her brain, and crushing her skull to complete her extraction, is right there in the Constitution. But let’s please not have any “semantic machinations.”

Yes, Roberts upheld Obamacare but he also held that the the second amendment provided a personal right to bear arms and then extended that to the State’s via incorporation into the 14th Amendment. Heller was a huge decision for conservative. So, while he hasn’t been what we expected, he hasn’t been a complete disaster. I would argue that Kennedy has been much, much worse as that’s who foisted gay marriage on us.

“This is in response to an ad Cruz is running saying that Trump supports obamacare.”

He does support it, or something even worse. That is, unless the polls go against him, then he might oppose it next week.
