Wow, that was big of him. They were caught with their pants down. How long did it take them to apologize? And apologies aren't the only consequence for many actions in or society. This was a form of voter fraud, telling voters that a candidate had withdrawn from the race.

Why? If you like Cruz, or if you like Trump or another, King is one of the most solid conservative members of Congress.
If what he did displeases you, welcome to politics. He did it so Cruz could claim no involvement, then apologize and look good.

When a candidate such has Carson takes several days off right before NH, it does "look like" he's ending his campaign.

Yep, nothing Ted has said or done since announcing on March 23, 2015 is relevant. It's all 'flexible'. But everything Trump has ever said or done must be brought forward and examined under a microscope.
He can do things wrong...just look at TPP/TPA. But this is a stupid issue to get upset over.
First who said those votes went to Cruze? They could have gone to Trump with Falwell’s endorsement. And Trump being all religious and all lately. He loves the bible remember? So I’m sure he got at least half of any of the idiots that jumped from Ben to someone else because of this.
Do any of them believe Trump would not have taken similar advantage of this information and leveraged it to his benefit?

This sort of political discourse is starting to affect how evangelicals talk about Trump. A notable exception is Russell Moore. He has consistently presented a line of argument—and not just name calling. His major thesis is that Trump is immoral by Christian standards. This is a fact: from Trump’s owning of strip clubs to his bragging about sleeping around to his Nietzsche-esque notions of power. Moore believes that a leader’s moral behavior will affect his leadership, so he argues that no Christian should support a candidate like Trump. This will not convince all Christians, but at least it’s an argument grounded in the fact of Trump’s moral behavior.

He will be the first that has owned casinos with strip clubs.
To proudly proclaim that he will seek revenge against his personal enemies “as viciously and as violently as you can.”
His wife will be the first first lady that has posed for lesbian porn.
And with that last bullet in mind, do you really think for a minute that Trump opposes gay marriage?

Donald Trump talked about his Christian faith Saturday, but said he’s never sought forgiveness for his sins.
The event is a gathering sponsored by several socially-conservative Christian organizations, including the Family Research Council, a socially conservative lobbying organization; Liberty University, the world’s largest evangelical university; and the National Organization for Marriage, a group established to prevent the legalization of same-sex marriage.
Trump, who told CNN earlier that he is both anti-abortion and anti-same-sex marriage, said people are surprised to learn about his Christian faith.
“People are so shocked when they find ... out I am Protestant. I am Presbyterian. And I go to church and I love God and I love my church,” he said.
Moderator Frank Luntz asked Trump whether he has ever asked God for forgiveness for his actions.
“I am not sure I have. I just go on and try to do a better job from there. I don’t think so,” he said. “I think if I do something wrong, I think, I just try and make it right. I don’t bring God into that picture. I don’t.”

Just apologizing is not the same as righting a situation and can be just hollow words.
King/Cruz’s “mistake” was truly that of a foolish person, based on greediness of winning.
Ted’s “to God be the glory” likely made God cringe, since many actions of Cruz recently are out of line with God.
note to Cruz - God will not be mocked. He knows motives and hearts.
We are electing a president, not a pastor or a theologian in chief, or someone to deal with the hereafter. We are electing someone to deal with issues such as immigration, bad trade deals, terrorism, foreign policy in general, as well as all the domestic issues.
not sure if you believe in God or not, but i see this situation as God gave not Trump, but King & Cruz this “test”, and they failed. Now they do the least about it while hastily moving along in what seems more and more to be Cruz’s selfish pursuit of nomination. I see Cruz no better than hillary and her selfishness.
The bible often tells us to make ammends when we’ve done some thing wrong or injured another person, which is not just apologize but do what;s needed to make it right, otherwise God doesn’t recognize that person’s (Cruz, King) sacrifice and worship.
Remain competitive up to election day and your opponents will not be able to sew the seeds of uncertainty by claiming you are dropping out. Carson’s tanked poll numbers (that started when he had to begin speaking on foreign policy) made this dishonest tactic possible. He has only himself to blame for being vulnerable to this claim. Just like Trump has only himself to blame for his first loser status.
So he should quit whining and sue. Same goes for Trump. Cruz won Iowa and beat Trump so it could be argued he now has standing. So sue over Cruz’s natural born status. Or don’t and shut up. The only thing worse than spineless simp RINO’s are self professed outsider candidates that lose, whine about being mistreated and tweet insults toward women.
