The November election is shaping up to be another GOP blowout. That's the conclusion from a new survey conducted for the Ripon Society that shows an astonishing 11-point gap in "intensity" favoring Republicans.
"We had in 2010 a nine-point advantage on intensity. Going into 2014 we had a seven-point advantage on intensity, meaning our voters are more intense about voting. Right now we have an 11-point advantage," he said. "I've never seen a double-digit advantage in terms of intensity to vote."
In 2010, Republicans took control of the House. In 2014, they took over the Senate.
"Why is it 11? It's intensity toward the president," he explained.
A deeper plunge into the numbers, Goeas said, is even more remarkable
For example, Republican women, who typically don't express voting eagerness in levels as high as men, are equal for the first time, at 89 percent, he said. What's more, on the issue of intensity, they are just three points back.
"Not only is there no gender gap, there's no intensity gap with Republicans wanting to vote Republican this year, all driven by the president," the strategist said.
His poll found that the economy is a huge driver in the election, as is the concern by voters that they are getting further away from achieving the American Dream. For example, 53 percent said "time is running out" for the country to get back on track.
And that might help Republicans reach African-Americans and Hispanics.
It's apparently already happening among black and Latino middle-class voters, his poll revealed. Among African-Americans, for example, he found that 22 percent were voting Republican or undecided. Among Hispanics, 45 percent are already backing the GOP or are undecided.

If there’s one thing the GOPe knows how to do its how to p*ss away a lead.
The GOPe doesn’t want to win, their job is to protect the Democrats’ flank.
Easy folks... there was a huge intensity gap early in 2012. I’m hugely optimistic, but we gotta go out and win this. Don’t forget: fear motivates as well as excitement.
That will go away if Rubio is the nominee.

Yup. I remembered it. That’s why I was laughing for weeks when the Trumpets on FR got a hard on from posting articles about his poll numbers. It was the same with Romney. The again, a lot of Freepers forgave liberals for voting obamatard but i never did. I love to hate liberals, hope they bathe in acid.

You can start with Email gate. Joe doesn’t have that baggage hanging over his head.
Or Benghazi
He doesn't have nearly the negatives that Hillary does, he's much more likable, he kind of comes across as a bit of an aw-shucks guy, sure he has gaffes, but many even find that a bit endearing.
But underestimate him at your peril, he totally owned Paul Ryan when they had their VP debate.
That will go away if Rubio is the nominee.

Sadly, this is wishful thinking.
Nationally, I don't hear political independents and non-white voters chanting the names “Cruz” or “Rubio.”
And, to my eye, the Cruz victory in Iowa means that Trump has generated only a limited amount of passion from traditional Republican Conservatives.
I think Trump still has a very steep road to the GOP nomination.
I think Clinton will win the Democrat nomination without much trouble, unless the MSM turns on her again, as they did in 2008.
And, I think Clinton will be very hard to beat in November, no matter whom the GOP nominates.
“I will forgive all your student loans. I will make tuition and health care a right, and FREE. I will make bank fees illegal, and send some Wall Street bankers to jail.”
Say that to Democrats and they’ll close the enthusiasm gap in a hurry, believe you me.
