More proof that Trump would clean up Washington DC– In a recent poll – 25% of federal workers say they would consider leaving their jobs if Donald Trump becomes president. Gov Exec reported:

Donald Trump leads the Republican field among federal employees, but many still say they would never work for him.

One in four federal workers would consider leaving their jobs if Trump were elected president, according to a new survey conducted by the Government Business Council, Government Executive Media Group’s research arm.

About 14 percent of respondents said they would definitely consider leaving federal service under President Trump, while an additional 11 percent said they might.

The findings indicate those leaving government would come from agencies’ top ranks, as a majority of respondents were in General Schedule positions GS-13 and higher.

my friend worked for Thurmond.

he was handed a credit card and told “not to worry” about running it up.

nothing’s changed.

and he didn’t even have an important position

Whoa! I think the Trumpster just got my vote -—except that this whole thing is total bullsh*t. No federal teat-sucker would ever voluntarily leave his cushy, secure job until scoring lifetime retirement benefits at the taxpayer’s expense.

Now you reminded me of my first job as a lawyer. The firm gave the associates a firm credit card to encourage them to go eat dinner, and then come back and put in more hours afterwards at night.

So again, the classic was to work until around 6:30, then all the associates working on a big case would go to some restaurant together and eat and have some beers, then come back to the firm and put in maybe another half an hour before calling quits and going home for the night.

I don’t think the partners ever caught on, at least while I was there (left for another firm after a year). But back then lawyers were making so much money they didn’t care. Not the same now.

Federal, State, County, and City; they haven’t changed, if anything they have gotten worse.

They could cut 25 percent of all those employees and you’d never notice the difference.

Buy them a one-way ticket.

i had a boss at an investment bank who showed up maybe 3 evenings (i worked the evening shift in graphics0 for 4 hours.

so 12 hours a week. Didn’t get caught for FIVE YEARS, but he was leaving for Texas anyway by that point.

I got 30 bucks for dinner in the city but I had to ORDER it online. Still had some nice meals :)

25% of federal workers say they would consider leaving their jobs

More like, if Trump is elected, 25% of federal workers say they would consider DOING their jobs.

At the very least, State, DOJ, and EPA have to be swept clean.

No surprise given how federal workers vote. The Democratic Party is the party of government.

In a recent poll 25% of federal workers say they would consider leaving their jobs if Donald Trump becomes president. Gov Exec reported:

Bluster and posturing.

Most people go in to government work for ideological reasons (progressive/environmentalist), power or job security.

Very few people with these motives for taking a job are going to give up that job because of a temporary change in management.

Even the ideologues are going to stay so that they can fight the new president in any way possible.

“What I read is 25% would consider it, 14% would definitely go.”

Yeah, but unfortunately, they’re all like Whoppi Goldberg and Alec Baldwin when it comes to actually making the jump. Trump will have to fire a lot of them. For sure all the ones who “serve at the pleasure of the President” will go. I just hope Trump cleans out the birdcages at the State and Justice Departments.

How could we tell the difference .... before and after pictures of a GS-12 sleeping will not tell much!

GS 13 and up are careerists. Many of them are what we used to call "deadwood." meaning they held useless unproductive sinecures, and there is no way in hell these parasites would give up the teat.

Just talk is all this is, because about 80% of them are democrats

This is utter nonsense! I would love to see the survey. It has to be warped and twisted and unrealistic to produce such weird results!

Or, has the composition of the government changed drastically over the past 8 years?

In one sense it is too good to be true. On the other hand, you have to drag government employees kicking and screaming to get them out.

Very, very strange finding...
