Carson is enjoying being part of it all, but nobody is left to support the logistics. He is already in debt, and will have do do as Walker did: Ask Cruz to pick up the debt.

It will all fall into place.

Long way to go.

Quit bickering among one another.

Our 240 years depends on it.

Well, I don’t know about evangelical institutions, but my brother did go to a Catholic seminary in Epworth Iowa.

I don’t think that will happen in the rest of the country if they keep destroying each other. Many liberal independents out there who might consider the GOP candidate will be convinced not to vote for him by the GOP itself...ha!

Go check the betting lines tonight.

It is all in motion, and swinging to Cruz.

Oh baloney...you know as well as any you cannot control people. Further I don’t even try to defend Cruz...he doesn’t need it as he does so very well himself....I’m just a spectator in this race as are all....with an opinion ...and we know what is said about opinions...everyone has one.

Besides...Carson was somewhat a whiner when he started....although I like the man as an individual he just isn’t ready for the big time politically.....and I’m not sure he could be..... I’d like to see him in Washington or and stay within politics because he’s good at peacemaking, his temperment would be good for this country.

My son has his same type of temperment....so I’m quite familiar with how Carson approaches things....very similar to my son.

CNN probably got that from Cruz.

You Trump supporters will grasp at anything to tear down Cruz. Both CNN and Fox were reporting that Carson was going to home after Iowa instead of to NH or SC, and that he was "taking a break" from the campaign. Now the Cruz campaign may have read too much into that report, but it is not an unrealistic assumption to make that Carson might be quitting, especially considering that two other candidates DID quit tonight. It is hardly like they made a lie up out of whole cloth just to discourage Carson voters - they just wanted to be the first to grab his supporters and they jumped the gun a bit.

CNN got that Carson was skipping NH, Cruz extrapolated that to his benefit.

I'm throwing this Quad City Times story out late in the live caucus thread because I think there should be some reference to the original, local, story on FR, NOT because I want to make a big deal out of it. A former Trump campaign worker, daughter of the Scott County GOP chair, has filed an employment sex discrimination complaint with Davenport's Civil Right's Commission, claiming she wasn't paid as much as men for the same work. Supposedly the NY Times has also reported on this. I've not seen their coverage. Further local coverage expects the complaint will take 6-8 months to decide, i.e. in prime general election season. Davenport's Civil Right's Commission is VERY liberal. There may well be nothing here and Trump may very well make it all go away. I hope he does. But it's at least conceivable that Hillary will be hyping this next fall if Trump is nominated. Even though her own record for paying female staff equally is pathetic! I'm not pushing this, I only want the reference available to Freepers just in case.

I guess the RATs couldn’t find enough union thugs for those 90 precincts.

Ah.... Democrats... Incompetent as the day is long.

Apparently Hillary would be down in the delegate count if she didn’t win three coin flips for the extra delegate.... I kid you not...

Trump is done taking shots at Cruz; count on it.

Rubio is another story, and will have to be dealt with, but Cruz will be up to it.

I wonder how many political and media hacks will get stuck on the tarmac with cancelled flights in the morning....

Forecast for where I live:

Calhoun Co. Iowa Severe Watches & Warnings
Watches & Warnings
Blizzard Warning
Statement as of 8:58 PM CST on February 01, 2016

... Blizzard Warning remains in effect from midnight tonight to 6 am CST Wednesday...

* timing... snow will spread across southwest Iowa late tonight and Blossom over the area during the overnight hours through late Tuesday morning. A period of very heavy snow is expected to occur during the Tuesday morning commute with snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour. The strongest winds are then to develop late Tuesday morning into the evening.

* Storm total snow... accumulations of 8 to 12 inches.

* Winds/visibility... northeast winds becoming north 25 to 35 mph with gusts in excess of 40 mph. Visibilities below one quarter mile with whiteout conditions likely to occur.

* Impacts... extremely hazardous travel conditions will develop. Travel may become nearly impossible at times. Please reconsider any travel plans.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to whiteout conditions... making travel extremely dangerous. Do not travel. If you must travel... have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded... stay with your vehicle.

You Cruz people will do anything to support your guy. Cruz people told voters in an active caucus that another candidate was dropping out knowing it would sway votes.
