LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Three people were fatally shot over the course of a day in Little Rock, including a mother who was holding her young daughter while she was struck, police said Sunday.
The killings bring to five the number of homicides in the city so far this year, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported.
Little Rock police spokesman Lt. Steve McClanahan said 19-year-old Junius Pitts Jr. died early Sunday morning after being shot while apparently sitting in his car at a red light near the University of Arkansas at Little Rock campus.
A witness who was in the car with Pitts told officers the shots came from another car while he and Pitts were stopped at the light, according to a police report. No arrests have been announced.
The second shooting happened in southwest Little Rock shortly before 10 a.m. Sunday.
Eunice Lopez, 27, was standing in her driveway when she was robbed by a group of teenagers and shot, McClanahan told the Democrat-Gazette. A warrant flyer for two suspects said Lopez was holding her 2-year-old daughter at the time.

I find it interesting that this article in the Washington Times is about shootings in Arkansas. Were there no shootings in the DC area or neighboring Maryland? It’s not really a rhetorical question. I am curious as to why these shootings made their cut instead of others. Does this media outlet seek a national scope? Are they electronic only, now? Do they have an anti-gun (or anti-ethnic) bias?
Inquiring minds want to know.

Here is a perfect example of the policy investigating and catching criminals in a black on minority crime. They are protecting the minority community from black thugs. I dare a Black Lives Matters protestor to show up at that scene with all the police and protest that the police should leave because they are more of a danger to the community than the black thugs who killed this woman and her child. Hypocrites.

Beware of "youts" wearing red or blue in Little Rock. We should adopt the IDF tactic of razing the homes of family members that do this.
I have a habit every morning of visiting the different internet news sites for a number of large American cities with a "diverse" population.
It is a rare day when there isn't a robbery and/or shooting/killing in any of those cities I visit. It is so bad I would say the killing of that poor woman is not that uncommon.

The lady that was killed apparently lived in a pretty nice neighborhood. SW Little Rock, from memory, is not a bad area. Then again, it’s been awhile.
I live NW of Houston and it hasn’t gotten bad here...yet! Everyone I know in the area is locked and loaded.
