Sarah Palin: ‘Wasn’t Hard’ To Choose Between Donald Trump And Ted Cruz

Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin joined the Today show to talk about her endorsement of Donald Trump as Iowans go to caucus tonight for the Republican presidential primary.

is was probably a tough call for you, between Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)97% and Donald Trump, began Savannah Guthrie during the interview.

t wasn’t tough,” Palin interrupted.

Really, Guthrie replied.

No, it wasn’t tough, she repeated.

Palin explained that she was happy to endorse Ted Cruz in his Senate race, because he was a fighter for the American people but that she wanted him to stay in Washington D.C.

want to keep him in the Senate, and I want Donald Trump to be our president, she said.

Guthrie asked Palin if Trump was necessarily “the godly candidate” for evangelical voters.

I hope voters aren’t trying to find the most Christian-y godliest candidate out there because who are we to judge one another’s level of faith – our Christian quotient if you will, she said.

Host Matt Lauer suggested that perhaps Donald Trump wasn’t enough of a true conservative, citing his Democratic record.

Palin referred to Ronald Reagan, pointing out that she was “glad” that Donald Trump was a candidate that had “seen the light.”

Later in the show, Palin was asked by co-host Willie Geist about what she brought to Donald Trump’s campaign by endorsing him.

I’m very, very conservative, very much a right-winger, proudly clinging to my God, my guns and my Constitution, she said. “I think I speak for a lot of Americans who have those same values.”

Sarah Palin really lost me when in her CNN interview with Jake Trapper, she compared and defended Trump’s flip flops on abortion to that of Justin Bieber. Justin Bieber? Seriously?

Examining the timeline of Reagan’s shift to conservativism is pointless because information was not as easy to access then as it is now.

The impact of more videos also speeds up peoples’ understanding and hardens their new convictions very quickly.

It was inevitable that a reformed democrat would suddenly shift into an angry, fiesty ‘reformed smoker’ anti-leftist at a rapid pace. That freshnessness of new ways of thinking is also infectious — brings vigor back to the political arena.

It saddens me to concur with your observation. She and her brood have devolved into reality show trailer park trash.

It is sad that Palin chose to turn her family into the Republican version of the Kardashians rather than focusing on serious policy and conservative ideology.

And I'm not saying this because she endorsed Trump over Cruz, at this point I'd be happy with either one as the nominee because the alternative is Marco Rubio.

Why, if you were one, you would know yourself.

Lol, just the answer you would expect from a Trump cultist.

The Donald would be proud.

Reagan was an FDR fan and a New Deal democrat, also a union man, head of the actor's union. He also was blessed with wisdom and discernment. As a good will ambassador for General Electric, he had occasion to ponder the realities of life. As a result Hhe soon left the wilderness for civilization and became conservative.
