What did occur to me just now was that Rubio wants out of the senate bad and Ted said back at the end of December that he would of course have Marco in his cabinet if he was to win. We can’t possibly know all the possible deals made in the cloak rooms by these inglorious bastards. All of them walk into those cloak rooms armed with two briefcases, one is full of lead pipes for knee-capping and the other one is full of money. Our daughter was a page in the state house in Tallahassee and I was there watching for a few days and it was just incredible the bargaining, veiled threats, extreme stress. I always laugh at how they call each other the gentleman or gentlewoman from wherever. These aren’t gentle people, they are the most willing cutthroats I have ever seen. What amazes me is none are willing to play cutthroat with the Clintons. Guess the body count is to threatening.

Very mature. That’s definitely how we decide Presidents.

I really hope that Rubio is the one thing that can bring Trumpers and Cruzers together, even if it’s just beating up a common foe so we can get back to trashing each other.

the GOP establishment will be forced to circle the wagons around Rubio im guessing or Trump might take every single state coming up.

This leaves Cruz as the odd man out in the scenario except as a spoiler

MSM FOX, BEEN PIMPING Rubio ALL weekend EVERYONE from FOX is on the ground there!!! I don't think there is ANYONE left in their NY studios!!! We ALL knew they would be pimping Rubio non stop the last few days!

The cheap labor express seems to have given up on their 'joyful tortoise'. Now they're (predictably) pushing his open borders understudy.

Won't matter. Dondi ain't going anywhere in this election. He doesn't have the 'It' factor, and isn't presidential in any way. Besides that, he's a lazy campaigner, and can't seem to raise money to save his life. Boy's nothing but a shifty loser.

...only Cruz seems the most firm on no Amnesty

Words only a true believer could utter.

Cruz still won't say what he'd do with the tens of millions of illegals residing in the country.

If you recall (and I know you do), he said that we can, "have a conversation about what to do with those who remain, after the border is secure."

If you don't recognize when you're being bamboozled by a too-slick-by-half lawyer, then let me spell it out for you. Ted would make the illegals legal by hook or crook, if he became president. He'd never send them home, and he's never advocated that we do so.

He's already sold out to the Cheap Labor Express, and isn't going to do a damn thing to hurt his owners' precious illegals.

Standing on the doorstep of old age while battling male pattern baldness and wearing Beatle boots with Cuban heels is no way to trudge through the Iowa snow.

If nothing else it will be nice to have the whining over from sensitive FRiendst who have never seen such mean, mean behavior, Early, with the moaning and butthurt and gnashing of metal teeth, the pain, the pain ...
There’s no crying in politics, buttercups.

Nate Silver’s follow-up tweet:

“With that said, any data is useful at this point. Other than Selzer & OpinionSavvy, everyone left the field a little early.”

So it has some value. I think the race is tightening, although I doubt Rubio’s shooting up that fast.

I think if you tripped on something and broke your leg, you scream out “establishment sidewalk”! An unthinking reflex.

That’s false.

This poll is the second listed from the top by 538:

If you’re a Trump supporter, the average of Iowa polls looks very good for you anyway, so no need to freak out about it.

Trump is the ultimate GOPe.

A crony capitalist trader of State favors, and a consistent supporter of Hilary and Pelosi.

And Trump wants to spends billions to deport about 12 million illegals, then have the illegals touch their pinky-toes in Tijuana, and then let ‘em all back in through that “big beautiful door” in his Wall.

And you Trumpers support him.

That’s why Trump thinks you’re dumb. “I could shoot someone on 5th Ave,” etc.

I could see Cruz slipping in but definitely not Rubio.

What everyone forgets about Emerson and this poll is MOE cuts both ways. Trump can still be up over MOE in this poll. CNN last night had a 6-point Trump lead outside of MOE, and RCP average is safe Trump.

Except Silver himself is a tool geared to make Dems win. I don’t buy thus poll, but as you know I don’t discount any polls. I think Trump is well outside the MOE.

Another factor to consider is the angst I felt weeks ago as I sensed a Trump versus Cruz clash coming. I felt no need to be in a fight involving the two of them because of the likely outcome.

I posted a lot warning folks the only winner in a Trump-Cruz fight is the GOPe and its candidates like Marco Rubio.

Is the poll a real sign of the fight turning voters to some other candidate?
