I recently fell in love with a sexy little H&K but I’m too skinny to conceal it very easily, so I’ve been hitting the gym to pack on enough size to better conceal it (I’ll probably stop doing that and just hit the fridge instead). Who ever said carry isn’t a lifestyle? :)

“Iowans who pay the bills and do the work - especially those who are within a short drive of what passes for urban rot - have started to see that it isn’t the Iowa of old, and a lot of them are being proactive.”

Iowa has changed, and not for the better. I grew up in Ames, and during pheasant season, 30-40 of the students at the high school would bring shotguns to school in their cars so they could get in a little field walk from when school let out to sundown. A couple of teachers would, too.

I haven’t lived there in 35 years, but my sister still does. She said things have really gone downhill, what with the death of the small farm towns, rural meth labs and the importation of Sec 8ers from Chicago, St. Louis and Kansas City. She had the plumber over and noticed he was carrying. She asked him about it out of curiosity. He said he had just come from the low-income housing area that had a bunch of Chicago imports. He started carrying there after he had his truck broken into while there on a job. He saw who did it, confronted them and nearly got beat up before the cops came. There are several of those complexes around town, although the city council is no longer actively recruiting “diversity”.

They even had to cancel the big ISU Veisha celebration and parade because of low-lifes.

You don’t hear too much about black teen mobs assaulting whites at the state fair anymore since the state relaxed its conceal carry laws, however. Iowa also recognizes CHPs from all states, so that makes it easy on me when I go back to visit.
