I just binge-read eight books by Donald Trump. Here’s what I learned.

Having read the article, the author nails it on Trump.

From the article:

As president, he would appoint himself U.S. trade representative, for example, and ''take personal charge of negotiations with the Japanese, the French, the Germans, and the Saudis,'' he writes in ''The America We Deserve'' (2000).

I am puzzled as to why he would want to be president when all he really wants to do is make the deals.

LBJ was real good at making the deals, president - not so much.

I thought that might have been a typo. He said ABOUT Trump, not BY Trump.
That was the comparison I was making.

But I was alluding to books like The Late Great Planet Earth, some book written by a former football player, & Left Behind- recalling popular books emphasized by Pop Religion back in the day. I don’t know what the current. . . epiphany (?) is.

Frankly, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of knowledge, understanding, or even regard for the Teachings Of Jesus Christ among the anti-Trump mob.

What I want from Trump:

1. Build the wall
2. Bring back jobs - through tax policies, etc.
3. Go through the budget and do whatever he has to do, cajole, yell, scream, to get out spending where it should be - cut out whole depts that shouldn’t even exist. This includes no more planned parenthood funding.
4. Diminish the influence of lobbyists - which is part of #3
5. Stop the incoming hoards of welfare recipients and terrorists from 3rd world countries - and this is connected to all of the above.
6. Our military needs to be rebuilt - we’re going to need it I’m afraid.
7. Make it ok to be a proud American again - and everyone taking pride in who they are including white people.
8. Appoint constitutionalists to justice positions - including SCOTUS.

This is a partial list. It would almost seem weird to not hate our government anymore and have some faith that they were working for the good of the country and not their own wallets.

I just finished reading Art of the Deal. It was written thirty years ago, but could have been written yesterday as far as Trump’s operating philosophy is concerned. The man hasn’t varied from those principles in all that time. He is authentic. What you see is what you will get.

I’m sure that sends a thrill down the leg of some,
and a trickle down the leg of others.

I suspect that he would only work with Schmucky Schumer (Harry will be gone) and Nancy Pelosi if they are willing to do what he wants done.

For all of his failings, ingratitude is not one of them. If Conservatives elect him, he will not abandon them as the GOPe has done.

If he's going to appoint such constitutionalist judges why did he trash Justice Scalia so badly?

Statism is at the root of Trump’s wealth. The state is his partner. He’s not going to turn on them anymore than he’d quit working with banks. The state is where he gets his money.

“I never doubted his drive and wealth motivation. I just want to know if he will be a strong strict constitutionalist, appoint conservative justices and surround himself with constitution loving conservatives on his cabinet, flush the State Department, DOJ, and now Pentagon leftist /communists.

Will he do what is right or will he reach across the isle to work with Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid?”

Whether one likes Trump or not, one thing is for sure he’s not often fettered by rules or conventions.

This should give people an inkling on how he would govern. Given that the constitution is the most fundamental rule of this country (or at least it was), and given his penchant to disregard rules and conventions, do you think it would be in his inner nature to strictly and voluntarily abide by the constitution, or do you think he would whenever possible and whenever he could get away with it, skirt the constitution if it didn’t allow him to do something he wanted to do?

Does that sound familiar?

How often have you heard him mention the constitution during his campaign? (Cruz mentions it all the time).

So what’s going to rule Trump’s behavior is going to be his innate value system, just like it has Obama, (and actually everyone else). To the extent that his value system coincides with the constitution he will be a constitutionalist.

So if you want a constitutionalist, the question you must answer is to what extent do you think Trump’s innate values coincide with the constitution. And are there others running whose values are more simpatico with the constitution?
